If you like the new wave sound, you should check out a local band (in Minneapolis) that was getting better press than Prince was. The band is called "The Suburbs" (not the Suburbs, u.k.). There is a greatest hits out called 'Ladies and Gentlemen: The Suburbs Have Left the Building."
I'm willing to bet you can find several mp3's floating around on the Internet. Check 'em out and let me know what you thought.

This is awesome! I haven't even finished listening the first track (Credit in Heaven) and I'm totally hooked!! I love this stuff. Thanks a million for posting...i will be buying their album ASAP. :D
On the subject of reccommendations, I've been on this Retro-future-80s-pop kick lately. Adult has become my current favorite band. They have a very synthetic sound with great percussion and killer lyrics. Really good stuff, in my opinion.
I also really like Bis's song "Robotic". Same sort of thing, I guess. Other than that, I've gotten into Felix da Housecat, Miss Kitten and Hackers, Le Car, Figurine, and The Faint. I can't get enough of this stuff. :)

I have been searching for any song by Adult, but have had no luck. Can you give me a song title or two to search for? Have you heard any other Suburbs tunes?
