I'm having trouble with keeping programs minimized. I'll have one program minimized but then when I go to minimize another, I'll lose the previous one completely  How do I fix it so I can minimize more than one window at a time without losing the contents of the previous window?
Also, I've seem to have lost the toolbar (I guess you can call it that) with the "Forward, Back, Stop", etc features in big blocks. I can "go back" by clicking onto the View toolbar but would rather do everything just a click away. Any ideas how I can restore this?
Not sure if I am reading this correctly. As far as the missing buttons go, I believe that you are speaking of Internet Explorer. If that is the case, the you can get your buttons back by clicking "View", "Toolbars" and "Standard Buttons". If they are coming back as small buttons, you can go to "View", "Toolbars" and "Customize". In the bottom left hand cornet, there is a drop down menu that says "Icon Options". From there you can either chose to use small or large icons in the buttons bar.
I'm not quite sure what you are speaking of in your first question. Is your Taskbar showing at the bottom of the screen? Have you tried using Alt-Tab to see what windows are available?
To clarify the first question, Whenever I minimize one task on the Toolbar and go to open a second application (usually off of the net), the first application in the toolbar doesn't remain on the toolbar, but disappears. How can I correct this?
I was able to restore the "back" and "forward" buttons.
Thanks again for your help:)
I've seen this before somewhere, just can't remember what caused it. What operating system are you running? Are you still able to switch between tasks by using "Alt-Tab"?
I'm still not able to hold more than one minimized task. My computer has Windows 98, 2nd Edition.
Thanks again for your help:)
