Does anybody remember Landscape? They had a hit with Einsteinagogo in the early eighties in the UK. It was a really kicking song, but they seemed to disappear after that. Does anyone know what happened to them?

I remember Landscape- "you better watch out, you better beware Albert says that e=mc2"!!!!!! Einstein a Go Go was a big hit in the UK. They did have a follow up that scraped a low chart placing but it's name escapes me.
I have it on a compilation CD Electric Dreams (UK Virgin Records VTDCD447) which has 38 great synth classics.

Some other releases by Einstein include 'European Man' in '80, 'Norman Bates' in '81, 'Eastern Girls' in '82, 'It's not my name' also in '82. They also had three album releases, the self titled 'Landscape' in '80, 'From the tea rooms of Mars to the hellholes of Uranus' in '81 and 'Manhattan Boogie Woogie' in '82.

I think with many groups from the late '70's and early 80's, there was still too much money being spent by the major labels, desperate to sign the 'next big thing' and when the groups failed to deliver, that funding was just as quickly removed leaving the group to dis-band, or try and find another label.

The lead singer of Lansdscape was one Richard Burgess, who co-produced Visage's first album 'Visage'
