Okay.........so confused over here............

Aron has this one client, who is a pain in the arse. (Irrelevant, but he is.) He calls Aron with all sorts of demands for his 'puters, and then gets mad when they don't get fixed the way or when he wants them.

Now, he asked Aron and I the other day, a question we are baffled by. In his Outlook Contacts area, he uses the notes section to CRAM all info on the contact in there....phone calls, emails, docs, you name it, he shoves it there. Well, he is upset because in some of his contacts, there is a DATE STAMP under the address button. I like to think I am pretty proficent in Outlook, and for the life of me, I don't know what on earth he is talking about. He wants the date stamp back on ALL of his contacts, but I can't figure out how to get it there.

Any takers on this one? I really need to get this done soon, or you all will hear about me on CNN!!! ("Now we go live to Cleveland......Wolf?!?!")

*sigh*

It's useless, isn't it? This guy is a wacko, and trying to dance the rumba on my last bloody nerve!! I am so sad!!

I wish someone could help me.....that even knew what I was talking about. It's useless...it's hopeless....I'm gonna go weep softly in my closet, sucking my thumb.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

*sigh*

Hey, DD. Sorry. I just don't use the Outlook Contact's area (much, if at all). I found thisd information. Maybe it will help you. Hope so. :)

Record the date and time you worked with a contact

Open the contact item.

On the Actions menu, click New Journal Entry for Contact, and then select the options you want.

The journal item records the date and the length of time you worked with the contact.

I've tried to tell him that that is what it's there for, but he wants this button-thing that is under the address button. I was talking with one of my neighbors, and she said that some of her contacts at her work email had it....but she didn't know how it got there. (I am under the perverse perception that it is MAGIC at this point!)

If you see me on CNN....just make sure that you say "At least her hair looks good!!!"

Thanks guys, for at least trying. I am gonna go bonk him on the head.:hammer: :hammer: :* :* (There is a kiss there for each of you!!!!)

This guy sounds like an idiot. I have NEVER known anybody to use the contacts in outlook. I quit using outlook last year when I found out how proprietary it was. Only Eudora for me now.

If I were Aron, here is what I would tell the user:

"The software says Copyright Microsoft, not copyright Aron. I didn't write it, I don't support it. Call Microsoft support."

Unless you guys want to support Outlook, I would just tell him he needs to call Microsoft. It's their software.
