I thought this would be an intersting and fun poll,what is your favorite song from a movie soundtrack from the options available?

I voted for Take My Breath Away, it just pipped Simple Minds.

I've the same opinion as TCM, but with "Don't you (forget about me)" in first place.

I almost went with "Don't You Forget About Me", but "Holding Out For A Hero" from Footloose edged it out! That song has such a build up and Bonnie Tyler's vocals are uncomprable! This song rocks! :thumb: Definitely one of the best!

Liked a lot of those, but then I saw Eye of the Tiger and just had to choose it.

I went with "Don't You Forget About Me" because I love that movie. I like "Eye of the Tiger" a lot too, but am not a real big Rocky fan, so I voted for the other one.

Well Top Gun is my favorite movie of the 80's so I had to vote for Berlin's "Take my Breath Away"

Of the ones listed I went with "Don't you (forget about me)" classic song from a classic movie!

Definitely "Don't You Forget About Me" Love the movie , Love the song. If "Melt With You" was for Valley Girl rather "Who Can it Be Now" I probably would have went with that.

I voted for "Hungry Eyes" from Dirty Dancing, because it's one of my favorite movies ever. But I also love "Holding Out For A Hero" (my school just did Footloose as the winter musical) and "Take My Breath Away". Great poll, it was a really tough choice. :) You know what else is a really good song? "She's Like The Wind" by Patrick Swayze from Dirty Dancing and also "I've Had The Time Of My Life" also from Dirty Dancing. :D

That was a toughie, but this song always gets me going every time I watch that movie. Goosebump city!

I went with "Don't You Forget About Me". This was a tough one because I really like "Eye Of The Tiger" too.

Holding out for a Hero is my favorite choice out of the ones listed. I love the Footloose soundtrack!

oooh I can't choose.. I can't chooose :goofy: Well, before I opened the thread.. I was already thinking "Take My Breath Away" so that's what my vote was.. but I also like "Hero".. "Eye of the Tiger" and "Hungry Eyes" equally.. TOUGH decision.. no fair!! :p

I voted for " holding out for a hero" by bonnie tyler, excellent song. it was hard to vote on this one, so many great songs like "eye of the tiger" and " danger zone"

I voted for "Eye Of The Tiger". I always liked that song by Survivor.

:) 1. It hit number one on my birthday in 1985.
:) 2. It only came from my favourite movie of the '80's.

Have to go with "Eye of the Tiger". In addition to being my favorite out of the choices, IMO it is also very well suited to the the setting of the "Rocky III" soundtrack:thumb:

Had to go with Simple Minds "Don't You Forget About Me"! That song just absolutely the 80s! It also makes me feel good and brings back great memories! John Parr's "St. Elmo's Fire" does the same thing! I love that song and movie too!

Out of the choices, I guess I will go with Don't forget about me, from the Breakfast Club. However, I would take any of the songs off of the Dazed and Confused soundtrack.

Simple Minds and Don't You Forget About Me. Great band who deserved much more recognition outside Europe than they got. I said it before and I say it again: Pick up that Greatest Hits CD. You won't regret it. :)

Simple Minds and Don't you forget about got my vote. It is a great song by a really good band. I liked most of the other songs too and it was either this or Berlin with Take my breath away from Top Gun.
