OK, so is someone going to write me a book, or do I have to ask all my questions separately?

Ask away, my Nakey Angel. I sure there are more guys than just me willing to help out a lovely lady. :D

Now I'm off to ponder on my vision of a "Nakey Angel". :)

The sad thing is my ISP tech support is of no use!

I called them about the mhz issue and they had no idea where I should look

Why does that not come as a surprise? MOST technical support IS really bad. I know this first hand.

I've been in the field nearly 20 years, and I can't even begin to tell you how many VERY poorly trained techs their are. Too many rely on an A+ (which really means nothing) and suddenly think they are gods gift.

In fact, I had an ISP lose my business because of their support. My connection died an entire night and most of the morning. I called support the next day to report either a server, gateway, or backbone problem and the idiots REFUSED to look on their end. Both guys spent their time probing me for what type of modem I had, my settings, etc. I finally told them both the problem was NOT on my end, and I knew it wasn't. They still wouldn't even look at their end.

I called the main office and terminated my account for incompetent support. Later that night I tried using my grandmothers account and it worked again. I never made any of the changes they asked for.

Moral of the story: I was right, the problem was on their end, and they were incompetent.

This type of thing happens all too often... sadly...

The tech support where I bought my PC last September is horrible. I'm glad I can fix most computer problems myself I run into, since they don't know what they're talking about.
