I just read in the New York Post that Tim Burton is remaking "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory". While this news is disturbing enough, seeing as the movie was classic in its original form and does NOT need to be redone, Burton has compounded the insult by hiring MARILYN MANSON to play Wonka!!!! What a mess this is going to be! Manson says he will play Wonka as a very evil person because he felt that Wonka represented satan. This is utter garbage! They're going to take a wonderful fairy tale and turn it into something dark. I for one, will not go see it! I hadn't heard about that, Pagan.. this DOES suck, indeed! Wonka WAS kind of evil in his own way... but Manson? Tim Burton will really give our classic movie a totally "odd" feel...

Hey everyone...breathe a sigh of relief! Warner Brothers had a big article in the same paper today completely BLASTING Manson for saying he was in the movie! First off, Tim Burton isn't even directing it. The guy who directed "Big" is, and he said he wouldn't cast Manson in the role in a million years! Whew!!! We're saved that horror! The movie will be called "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory" (the original title of the book) but I still think it shouldn't be made at all. Leave it alone, it was perfect the first time!
