Okay, what is your favorite song by Talk Talk?

I picked "Such A Shame", because this was the very first video I ever saw from Talk Talk, and the song just rocks. My favorite part of this video is when Mark Hollis (lead singer) is looking at a video of him outside. Tim Pope did a great job directing this video.

I simply had to vote for "It's My Life". It's one of my all-time favorite songs, a song that I could never grow tired of hearing, regardless of how many times I've heard it over the years!

I've only heard 'It's my Life' and 'Talk Talk', so I guess I'd go with 'It's my Life' :cool:

It's My Life is my favorite. I really love the lyrics to this song. I so relate to them....

I have to agree with Xis...

It's my life is a great song. There is something about the singers voice that is haunting. I really like "Such a Shame" the chorous of that song gets to me.

I love most of Talk-Talk's stuff so this one was very hard indeed.

Lyrically, 'It's My Life' always has the edge over my personal choice 'Talk-Talk' - but I always loved the latter's 'heavy' beat which sounds real great when turned up at full blast!

"It's my life" is one of my all-time favorite songs; "Such a shame"... exactly the same (in a second place just for this poll). I miss "Dum dum girl"... that album was one of the first I bought, and I'll never be tired of listen to its songs.

Thanks for posting the lyrics to the opening of "It's My Life", Xis. You know, I never really knew what he was singing! Didn't stop me from loving the song, though!!! :) I also love the video to "It's My Life", with all the different animals and the squiggly lines! :)

"Talk Talk" is my favorite Talk Talk. I love that song!:)

I went with "Talk Talk". The twelve inch remix is incredible. I have said it before and I say it again. The a-sides/b-sides collection of Talk Talk songs is absolutely brilliant. :)

I chose "It's My Life" as well...one of my favourites!

I went with It's My Life....Talk Talk by Talk Talk was a bit redundant for me. Though I am redundant at times..........:angel:

I chose "Life's what you make it" - It's my personal favourite with Talk Talk, and what got my listening to their music in the first place. Also I find the rather dark garden video fascinating ;)

My favorites never seem to make the list!:cry2: For me, it would be Dum Dum Girl...what a killer tune. I love all of Talk, Talk so it IS really hard to pick. Great lyrics and great melodies as well.

Although I really liked both 'Why is it So Hard' (good movie too), and It's My Life (the whole album), I had to go with the self-titled hit. It's just so catchy, it towers over all the rest (the others are still excellent songs though) :thumb:

Had to vote for "Talk, Talk" as well.

I couldn't choose between Such a Shame and Life's What You Make It (two of my favourite songs ever) so I went with Other. Happiness is Easy will be the favourite for today. :D

'Such a Shame' is the most beautiful song, they were a fantastic band. Rode the New Romantic wave early on then progressed into a horribly underrated group. One of the best of the '80's. Word to No Doubt and others,LEAVE THEM ALONE!

I voted for "Such A Shame." It's such a unique song; I love the way it ends. So many of their songs are good. As others have said, what an underrated band. Thank God for the 80's! This group never would have gotten off the ground today.

I went with "Life's What You Make It", I especially love the extended mix of this song!!!!
