I read a small article in the newspaper that FOX Entertainment will be bringing back some old Sci-Fi shows. Most of the shows are from the 70's I think but you may have seen them in reruns during the 80's. FOX also plans on doing new movies of these shows for theater release.
The shows are:
TIME TUNNEL Which is about two guys who are scientists that travel through time. Each mission is monitored by other scientists from a lab who can see what is happening by viewing a holographic image on the Time Tunnel. Think of it as StarGate XG1 but much better!

VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA This show was about a submarine called the SEAVIEW. This sub was more like a spaceship in its design. The crew deals with aliens and deep sea creatures. After the first or second year of the show they introduced the FLYING SUB. This thing had a unique design, had room for 4 people and could fly like a jet from the belly of the Seaview, out of the ocean and fly into the skies. This show was originally a motion picture starring Walter Pigeon before becoming a tv series. AWESOME

LOST IN SPACE The movie that came out in theaters a couple of years ago was based on this tv series. CAMPY

LAND OF THE GIANTS The adventures of a group of people who crashland on a planet inhabited by giants. This show was pretty wild. It was fun to see the tools that they used like taking a safety pin and using it as a grappling hook for climbing. They not only had the giants to worry about but cats, spiders and other creatures. FUN

Wow, Time Tunnel? I remember watching that show in the 70s! I've always wanted to see that one again!

Lost in Space and Land of the Giants both got replayed here in the 90s. It was good to see them again. Land of the Giants was pretty well done for such an old show. I always wondered why the giants were so ponderously slow though.

All those shows are classic Science Fiction but where is Space:1999?

I would love to see Space: 1999 too. A long time ago they showed a few episodes on the Sci-Fi channel, but they were all from season 2 with those cheesy "Dr. Who" monsters. They also used to show UFO which is another big fave' of mine.

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and Land of the Giants are both currently on the Sci-Fi channel early on weekday mornings. After that is the show I'm totally addicted to: Dark Shadows. Anybody else watch this?

That's great news, Sarg! I've always loved Lost in Space and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. It's good to see that they will be returning to TV.

Valley Dude, I love watching Dark Shadows, too. It's a great old Gothic soap opera!!! :)

Actually, on Space:1999 on the Sci-Fi channel the showed both Year 1 and Year2, but all the episodes were cut. Dark Shadows is cool also. It would be a good addition on Fox.

Personally, I'd like to see Space: 1999, UFO, and Battlestar Galactica again!
