The thread Sunnysky started made me think of posting this poll. I know most of them were big in the early part of the 90's but who is your favorite New Edition spin-off. I have to say Johnny Gill. That boy could sing!!! I first heard him sing in the duet he did with Stacy Lattisaw, then with New Edition. His song "My my my" is an example of a fine fine R&B song!!!

I gave my vote to Johnny Gill as well, DJ. I liked some of his earlier stuff, just after New Edition split, while I can't say the same about the other guys material, especially Bobby Brown... :p

I voted for Bobby Brown, even though I don't care for him as a person, I enjoyed his music. :)

Have to agree with Trixter. I like Bobby Brown musically but not personally.

Johnny Gill - The album Let's Make The Mood Right is a really good R&B album. Bobby Brown is a joke and most of his music annoys me.

I could not pick! Bell Biv Devoe was lame, but I like the other three.

I voted for Bobby Brown. He was cute and his music was jumping.

Too bad he became such a moron later.

Ditto for Bobby Brown, although the only thing decent since "Don't Be Cruel" was "Humpin Around"... ;)

I kind of liked Bell Biv DeVoe. I liked their song "B.B.D (I Thought it Was Me)"

"Hip-Hop smoothed out on an R&B tip with a pop feel appeal to it..."

My vote goes for BBD. They went from the three background singers to the hottest thing in music during their heyday (1990). Quite a feat.

If you still dig this kind of music, be sure to check out this site:
