Denny's is one of those eaterys that seems to be in almost every state. I think they're OK, but some of my friends think they're awful. Opinions? I think it's a case of "you get what you pay for".

We (the family) ate at one in Florida that wasn't bad, and we ate at one in Niagara Falls that sucked.

I'm not much into them. I think the quality just depends on which restaurant you go to. I prefer not to go there, but if that is the only choice, I can deal with it.

Kind of like Taco Bell. Some of them suck, others are good.

I haven't been to one in a long time. Probably since high school when I would go around 2AM. We have one close to me, and I haven't been there. I don't have a problem with them. Hey, it's cheap food. The Breakfasts aren't too bad. Plus, aren't they open 24 hours?

Our Denny's looks more like an old timey diner... and I don't know if that's common... being that most that I've seen don't look like ours. It's all bright and silvery with an old jukebox and everything. As far as the food..Weeelll... it's ok.. actually it's pretty good here.. but I went to one in Tallahassee and was thoroughly disappointed. We were sitting in the non-smoking section.. across the room from a chain-smoker with a tiny glass half-wall separating us.. When we left... our eyes were all really red and irritated from all the smoke. It was just nasty. I hate cigarette smoke. Be considerate!!!  I'm sorry.. but I think the smoking section should be another ROOM .. with actual WALLS.. I choose not to smoke for a reason.. don't make my decision for me .. by blowing that sh*t in my direction.

It's alright. I have noticed their prices have went up though. If I'm going to eat at that type of place I would rather go to IHOP.

Stacy, my lovely stalker, I completely agree with ya! IHOP is better than Denny's on their breakfast menu! They seem to have more of a variety than Denny's. The Denny's here are rather crappy in my opinion. :(

The only Denny's in Erie closed years ago. I guess that means it wasn't very good  I don't really remember to tell the truth.

I've never been a Denny's type of person. They're always in the news for less-than-flattering reasons and their food is mediocre at best...

Don't really know. It has been year's since I was in one. It was okay back then though.

I usually don't go to Denny's but when it's 2 am and your going home from a night of partying.... Denny's where I used to live would be the only place open up late.... and when you've been partying... you get the MUNCHIES!!

Like you guys say, Denny's is only good when it's 2am and nothing else is open. But I am definitely an IHop type of girl. Love their omelettes. And happy, happy, joy, joy Temple, TX is finally getting one. No more going all the way to Round Rock to visit the Ihop.

I don't think we have Denny's in Canada, but I know I've never even seen an IHOP before. What is it? Is the name an acronym?

I hop, you hop, we all hop to IHOP?

As far as the food the menu should read "Hey! It's Late!":p
and the sign outside should read "Drunk F*cks Welcome!":goofy:
Pretty much an after partying only option!

Chris, just to answer your question, IHOP stands for International House of Pancakes and I must say.. our IHOP is yummy, the breakfast menu at least.. I wouldn't eat any of the other stuff.. some of you just got the raw end of the deal. They're even building one closer to my house.. so I don't have to drive so far anymore.. Yum!!

I liked Denny's last time I went, but that was around 1991 and I haven't actually been back since!

There's just nothing better than going to Waffle or Huddle House at three o'clock in the morning after you've just been to an awesome rock concert!!! Something about the taste of blueberry syrup on a Belgian waffle after a night of boozing and carousing!! ;)

Yuck! But then again, I like to eat breakfast at Cracker Barrel; so my tastes are questionable to begin with.

Aaaahh! Of course! I should have been able to figure that out. I know they're around in Canada but I've never seen one.
