This movie is probably one of the best war movies of the 1980s. The movie stars Jason Patric and Stephen Baldwin. This movie takes place in 1981 during the Soviet invasion of Afganistan. The movie starts as a T-62 tank crew led by a psychotic tank commander destroys a village. He then is lost and tries to go to Kandahar while the tank crew is chased by the local Afgan freedom fighters.Jason Patric is the tank driver who is the conscience of the tank crew is locked in a personal duel with the commander while being in a cat and mouse game with the local insurgents. The first time I saw this film I was completely in awe with it. I think that Jason Patric did a wonderful job with the film as playing opposite the tank commander played by George Dzundza who you hate through the film. I was wondering if there was anyone out there seen the film and what are your opinions about it.

The movie is out on DVD and it absolutely fantastic!!!!
