I'm trying to make a poll, so if it doesn't work....well, then we'll all know how bad I really suck at computers....

OMG!! I did it!! I amaze even me!!

This isn't even the tip of the iceberg when it comes to great tunes by the Oaks, but it gives a variety of fast and slow, happy and sad. I personally chose 'I Guess It Never Hurts To Hurt Sometimes'.

I have to say, though, this poll was hard for me to vote on, because there isn't a song on that list that I don't love....well, maybe I've stopped loving Elvira, due to overplay, but I still like it. Anyway...Have Fun!! :D

I voted for "Elvira" for it's sheer humor and mental images! ;) "Fancy Free" was a close second though! :thumb:

I love the deep vocals in it. But then again, who doesn't?

It was a toss-up between "Elvira" and "American Made". I went with the latter.

I voted for Thank God for Kids! Talk about putting a lump in your throat, that song will do it every time!:(
Now that I have them (kids, not lumps) I appreciate the song even more.:)

I voted for "Elvira" My friend and I sing it Karaoke every once and a while! We're the only two guys I know who can hit all the low notes. I also like "Bobby Sue"for this reason!
I credit Richard Sterban with my voice being as low as it is.When he sang back up for Olivia Newton John on "Let Me Be There" and "If You Love Me Let Me Know"( have sung these with girls at karaoke too!)I was going through my voice change. I'd always try to sing along to his background notes. Got so I could sing REAL low! When I was young I was in the church choir .My friend and I would sing the bass part an octave lower than it was written! This would drive our director nuts! Finally, he
worked with it. He had the some of the altos, sopranos and tenors do it too! It gave our choir a great unusual full sound!

COOL BREEZE

"Oh Let me be therrrrrre"

I Wish You Could Have Turned My Head And Left My Heart Alone. Not much of an Oak Ridge Boys fan. I do remember my sister had this 45 single when I was a kid. Only song of theirs I did not want to break the record:laugh:
