Ok, this'll be the last one of these polls I do for a while, just in case people are getting sick of them.

What was your favourite Cars song of the 80s?

I voted for "Shake It Up". It is such a great, upbeat song!

Recker, we could never get tired of the polls that you post! :)

I voted for "Shake It Up"... I love all of the Cars songs and have their Greatest Hits on CD, but "Shake It Up" has that great, danceable and fun beat to it. Another song that can put me in a good mood whenever I hear it...

excuse me for posting again but this is in response to Recker saying that we may get sick of these polls. NONSENSE! Believe it or not I follow these polls regularly to see what people think. I use them as a guide to know what is the most popular. It helps in a small way to program my 80's show. Keep them coming. I may just post some more polls :)

I think I'll go with Candy-O. That song is just so totally rad. It seems like the whole side of the album keeps building and building and then Candy-O is the climax.

I went with Shake It Up. There's a song by them with a bunch of hand clapping in it, but right now I can't remember the lyrics or title to save my life....

This was easy for me, since I never really liked Ric Ocasek's voice.

I voted for Drive, because it is the only song I really like by them.

Drive. I don't know why I like it because they always played it on the radio on a Sunday night, and you knew the weekend was over and back to school the next day!! yippe!
I like it now though :) very '1984' sounding

I went with "Magic". Though "Hello Again" would come in second. The Cars were excellent with the keyboard/synthesizer:thumb:

I love the Cars, there Greatest Hits album is permanantly spinning around on my record player and I never get sick of it.

My favourite song is probably "You are the girl" but it is a hard desision with so many great pieces of music :)

Magic was my favorite song by The Cars when I was growing up. It was one of the first really memorable videos on MTV. Their earlier stuff is top notch too...
