Ok,who do you think was the ultimate woman of punk?

For me it is definatly Wendy O Williams,she had all the aggression and energy that symbolizes the punk movement(and she was damn sexy too and not afraid to show it)Wendy,in my oppinion,paved the way for strong women in rock-n-roll to be taken seriously as musicians.

And because of my love of the Cramps,I have to give a very close second place to Poison Ivy.

OK I'm gonna be the contrary one and vote for Debbie because I've always loved Blondie, but never liked any of the others mentioned. OK, I don't know anything about them, because I'm not a punk fan, but hey, I had to vote for someone.

I voted for Blondie simply because I enjoyed her music more than Wendy's.

I'm with you all the way Cult....Wendy O had it all. There was nothing that intimidated that woman. She was raw punk energy and attitude at it's best. It's a damn shame she's no longer with us. R.I.P. Wendy

Poison Ivy - She is THE WOMAN!!!

She's got the attitude, the looks, and the talent and Lux by her side. Truly an icon of punk!!

I cast mine for Poison Ivy, with Wendy O in so close a tie that it was the fact that there was only one vote for Ivy that brought me to it. ;)

I went for Poison Ivy, she was probably more punkier than Siouxsie Sioux who is my second choice. But if it had been the coolest punk, Siouxsie would have won.

I totally agree! What's great about both of them is that after all these years, they still look great and carry out their punk antics.

It's all about Wendy. When is VH1 doing a "Behind the Music" about her? They have done all these useless bands, and NO Wendy.

I voted for Blondie because of two reasons... I loved her style and the others I've never heard of. The latter of the two made that one fairly simple.

Debbie Harry, seemed to be a real punk icon to me at least for the New york scene. She was really hot when she was younger, not now. I'm still a Blondie fan though, anybody notice how glazed her eyes are in the Heart Of glass music video? I had to look up Wendy O. to recall who she was. I only know 1 or 2 songs from the Plasmatics.

I picked Poly Styrene of X-Ray Spex, because IMHO she was a very underrated performer.
