I feel that Loverboy was one of the most underrated bands of the 80's. You rarley see them mentioned in any genre even though they had many popular songs. So I figured I throw out this poll.

I agree, they were very underrated. This was a tough choice because all of their songs were great. I voted for "Lovin Every Minute Of It". You don't seem to hear that one much anymore like you do the others.

I also voted for "Lovin' every minute of it". Just a damn good song!

"Turn me loose". I actually met all 5 original members of Loverboy at a show they did at a little amusment park in PA. I sang with Mike Reno. It was raining very hard that day and the power went out so the show was postpond for a while. While we were waiting, friends and I decided to walk around and see who we could meet. We saw Mike Reno and went up to him, I told him I did a song of his on kareoke. He asked which one and I said "Almost Paradise". He then asked me to sing it so I started too and he joined in with me and before I knew a group of people gathered and started singing with us. It was so cool! :) REO Speedwagon was there the same day and they were just a bunch of unfriendly people!

Can I vote for the first five of those songs? Loverboy is one of my all-time favorite bands. Every single song on those first few albums is fantastic. I voted for Turn Me Loose because even hearing the name of it gets my adrenaline goin' a little bit :D

I picked lovin every minute of it. I really like this band, I agree, very underatted band. did anyone else hear last year the bass player died in a boating accident?

My vote goes to The Kid Is Hot Tonite. I don't know why really. I just always loved that song. Loverboy was a great band, lots of fun. Wish I could have seen them live.

Wow, that was too close to call for me. I voted for Working for the Weekend with Turn Me Loose a close second. My cover band from college actually did both songs. I sang the backup vocals. Both were a lot of fun to play but Working for the Weekend was more fun. Our singer changed the lyrics just to be silly one time to "You want a piece of my foot, right up in your arse." No disrespect to the band. Just all in good fun.

Wow, I'm the only vote for Hot Girls In Love. That was a great song. Of course most of theirs were!

I voted for "Workin' For the Weekend". Used to hear this song every Friday afternoon coming home from my old job and singing it at the top of my lungs!!! :D

Almost paradise was another great one, but I really liked the cheesy video for Hot Girls in love. Still giggle about that one.

I have seen them 13 times and have met them on numerous occasions. Used to drink in the same club as Paul Dean in Vancouver (New West actually) so had some interesting convos and have also partied with Matty a few times at a bar called 86 Street in Vancouver :)

paul dean is the****inSHIT! impossible to copy... you can only try to get that sound. 'Get Lucky' is one of my all-time favorite albums; a rare exception to the sophomore slump phenomena. i wish i had seen them live, as well. unfortunately, when you wear leather hot pants and bandana's, you're playing on borrowed time. the air really leaked out on the 3rd album.
