I'm not that big a fan of Simply Red but I went with "If You Don't Know Me By Now."and your right he was kinda weird but weren't alot of 80's artists?:lol:

Arrrghh! I can't vote on this because I've never been able to seperate 'Moneys too tight' and 'Holding back the years'. Both are quality tunes.

So it's a dead heat between those two I'm afraid!

I've always loved Simply Red's "Holding Back the Years"; it's one of my favorite romantic 80s tunes. This was also the song my sister chose to play at her wedding... :)

I really like the song "Stars" too but that was an early 90's hit.

This is one of those songs I just can't hold back singing along with at the top of my voice. But it is a tough decision to make. Some great songs there.

I'm with Greenway on this! Great Debut Single. The guy has a wonderful soul voice. My favourite all time Simply Red song though is Jericho!

i thought their debut album was great. my favorite on that one is their cover of the talking heads tune, 'heaven'.

Holding Back the Years did it for me.
