Do you remember the first time you got in trouble with the law?
Do you remember the fist time you actually went to jail?

I was hoping no one would ask me that:lol:
Yes I have been arrested before.
The first time I was arrested i was horrified!
My boyfriend bought me a brand new car and I was driving my friend to her babysitters house to drop off her son.
Well I hit a car in front of me because it was to slick to stop.
The cops came and I didn't have my liscence with me.. and the car was not in my name and I had 2 unpaid tickets.
So there you go... he took me to jail. It was scary.. I had to drive in a van with other law breakers to the court house. I didn't spend the night there,, thank God. But i did spend 6 hours in jail. I promised myself never to end up there again... Untill next time.

I never went to jail, but came close a few times. I think I was the only one out of the friends I hung with that didn't have that privlege. That does not mean I never had trouble with the law. I had a MIP(minor in possesion), citations for gas and dash, and a harassment incedent. I am glad to say those are all in my way past. Those were all in the late 80s.(those struggling teen years)

I was going to a hotel party with two of my friends and right when we got to the door some guy opened it up and said "Welcome to the party". Needless to say he was not part of the party. We had to go to the county jail and wait for someone to come pick us up. I called my sis (txgirl) and she never showed up. So my friends father took me home. We were issued a JIP (juvenile in possesion). Good thing my friends father was an attorney and we got thicket cost down alot.

It wasn't that I didn't show up, the cops sent me to the wrong place. I went to the juvenile jail rather than county.

Hey DJ
I haven't been arrested before either. Although if you put you and I together too long in the same place listening to certain songs I bet we could stir up some trouble.

twice I was locked up for underaged drinking till my father came to get me...I think i would have preferred to stay in lockup and be someone's bitch than the punishments he had planned for me:) and once I was in a car with a drunkdriver (when the cops asked him for his license and registration he gave them an icecube from our cooler) they threw me in the drunk tank. All three times were because i was drunk . I was under 20 on all occasion ... that was a long time ago and i'll never see the inside of a cell as I basically a clean life. OH that demon rum :D .

I've been lucky not to have been arrested or be in trouble with the law.

However, I did have to "deal" with my younger brother. He got arrested by Best Buy for stealing $4000 worth of computer equipment. The 'rents were in Charleston, SC so who had to deal with it?!? ME!! I had to get out to Toledo, (where he was going to college), and deal with it all. I dragged his butt home, and then made him call mom and dad. (I ended up in the ER with an ulcer on my tounge!! I couldn't deal with it any longer.)

Needless to say, somehow, he got off.....didn't do any jail time or anything. I had begged the lawyer to do something to teach him a lesson, but it didn't work. Mom got to the lawyer. He still thinks that he can get away with anything because he didn't have to go to jail or do anything from that experience.

I, however, learned that I will :hammer: my son if he were to do something as stupid as that!!! (*muttering under breath* "steal from your employer, what the heck were you thinking? you weren't thinking. you steal pens and post-its from your employer!"

Do women have to worry about the same things guys do in jail? We always have to worry about some big guy named Bubba if we go to jail. But for the ladies, I mean is there a big woman named Bubbette there?

I came real close to being arrested and going to jail when I was 21 back in '97. I was still kinda acting like a teenager back then. I had several open containers and weed hidden in my car, and I even yelled at a cop that asked me "Ok son so how many beers have you had?". But the planets were all aligned in my favor, and somehow miracously me and a friend escaped even being asked to step out of the car. I had several close calls like that pre-1999. It wasn't until I was 23 that I started to act like a real adult.

Oh, well, I will come clean here.
I was 16, cutting school. borrowed a friend's car and drove to the mall (I did not have a license) and we were in a "discount" type store and shoplifted a couple stupid things. We were caught by the store guard who called our parents and "wrote us up". My friend cried through the whole thing, and I just sat there. The guard asks me what I think of this, and I launched into the intro to the Time Warp (It's astounding...time is fleeting....madness takes it toll.....) He just shook his head.
We didn't get handcuffed or mug shot or anything, but we did have to pay for our lawyer who got us off on an ACOD (if we kept our noses clean for 6 months, our record would be expunged).
The $250 I paid for the lawyer taught me that the $2.12 worth of stuff I took just wasn't worth it!
By the way, my record was expunged!:hammer:

Well, I will be of legal age in the U S of A in two months...;)

Of course, I've been able to drink legally for 2 years now!:D

I'm probably one of the few people here who like growing older!

Older is not necessarily wiser! I choose wisdom over age.....hands down!

Me I've never been arrested, but I did have one brush with the law back in 1988.

I was at a College (University) party that some friends of mine were having in Auckland city. The student flats were right in the middle of the city so we decided to head down town around 1am in the morning.

We hadn't had much to drink but we were in a real stupid mood (As most college students are at that time of night) so we started chasing cars by foot, barking at them and pretending to cock our legs over them at traffic lights.

Unfortunately one of the occupants in one car just happened to be a cop and boy did we get an ear full! He told us we were idiots and then asked us what we were and we had to reply "Idiots!" before he let us go!

The 21 year old rule to drink is really done to keep alcohol out of the high schools. Plus we have more cars in America then anywhere else in the world. Otherwise, you're an adult at 18 here.

Though you shouldn't always assume you're the youngest one here. I've been seeing quite a few people born in the early '80s continue to assume they're still the "kids" or the youngest ones around, and then get burned by these teenage kids born later in that decade. Time has a way of sneaking up on you, and it makes no exceptions.

I have never been arrested!!! *knocking on the wooden desk* Nor will I ever intentionally do anything that could result in such. I don't even know what the inside of a jail cell looks like. *doesn't want to know either*

I am, however, laughing uncontrollably at the mental picture I get of Recker hiking his leg at an oncoming vehicle and pretending to relieve himself.

Chopper: Your daddy was a Bobby??? At least he wasn't of the Keystone variety. *laughs at her silly, not-funny joke*

*swoons thinking about her pic of Chopper*
