Has anyone else seen the promos for Jodi Foster's upcoming movie, Panic Room? It looks very good, a suspense-thriller, something Jodi hasn't done since The Silence of the Lambs. The plot is that Jodi's character and her daughter become imprisoned in their home's "panic room" when a band of murderous thugs break into their high-tech manse. Jodi is one of my favorite actresses so I will be heading out to the theatres to see this one! :thumb:

I've seen the trailer, I don't really like the plot of the movie, but it is directed by David Fincher, who has directed such other suspense thrillers ar Seven, the Game and Fight Club (which I hated, but many like it)

The only movie Fincher directed that I have seen was Alien 3.

Let's put it this way: that movie *SUCKED* so bad that should have ended his career. I rated it a -10 on a 0-10 scale. I am a big fan of the Alien series too.

As for this movie, I would like to see it... but tickets at $8 a pop or so is more than I want to spend.

I've seen the ads and read about it in Entertainment Weekly. She was pregnant when she filmed the movie!
It looks very good.

My best friend saw the promo for this movie during the Superbowl and has gone on and on about how good it looks. I missed the promo until last night when I was watching the Grammys..it really looks good.

I actually saw the promo for that about a month ago. It looks like it will be good. I was a fan of Jodi Foster.. then she did King And I. I didn't care for her work in that.

I didn't like Jodi's work in The King and I, either, Milani. I just felt that Jodi was miscast as Anna. She's a brilliant actress, but some roles even she can't pull off convincingly...

I heard the reason she didn't do the sequal to Hanibal was because of the King And I.

Yikes! She would have been better off having done the movie Hannibal! Julianne Morris did a nice job as Clarisse, but Jodi would have been better in that movie, IMHO. :)

I may be the only one that HATES Jodi Foster. So, that being said, I will still go to the movie, because I love Forrest WHitaker (he plays a villian in this). If not for him, I would pass, because I hate Jodi foster. I hate Jodi Foster. I hate her so much, my only film I liked her in was "The Accused" and that is because she gets brutalized in the rape scene. (I DO NOT CONDONE RAPE BTW)

Don't like her, don't hate her. I might go see it. I have passed up watching the trailer on my computer MANY times, but I recently saw it on TV. Looks interesting.

I might wait until I can download it.... not sure yet.

Just say the trailer last week and I must say the film does catch my interest. I do like Jodie Foster, but her decision to do the flop "Anna And The King" didn't fare well with me, but she allowed one mistake. :) I will probably go see "Panic Room".

I went and saw this movie this afternoon. It was okay. The commercials made it look like it was going to have this great surprise ending but it didn't. It had it's good points but i'm glad I didn't waste money on (had a movie gift certificate to get in today). Anyone else seen it?

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I will be going to the theatres this weekend. I'm disappointed that you didn't think it was that good, Stacy! I've been looking forward to seeing this movie for the past month! :)

Panic Room does look like it's going to be an awesome movie. I'm planning on going to see it! It sounds like its going to be heart thumping action from beginning to end.
Jodi Foster has been a favorite actress of mine since she was a kid. She was just on Jay Leno a few nights ago talking about Panic Room.

I went to see "Panic Room" this afternoon, and I really enjoyed it! It kept me on the edge of my seat, chewing my fingernails the whole time. Jodie Foster was fantastic, as always. So was Forest Whitaker, Dwight Yoakum and Jared Leto as the bad guys. If you want to see a top-notch suspense thriller, go see "Panic Room" ASAP!!! :thumb:

I saw Panic Room last Thursday night and it was really good! It was pretty scary, but more suspenseful than scary. Jodie Foster was really excellent and so was the girl who played her daughter. It's a very intense movie and the ending was a little sad and thought-provoking, for me at least. The characters are not just one-dimensional and the acting is really good. :thumb:
