What is your favorite Madonna Video?

I voted for "Like A Prayer". It was a well done video....controversial, but well done.

I had to vote for "Other" as my absolute favorite Madonna video of all time is most definitely "Open Your Heart", which was a visual masterpiece, full of stunning imagery and a subtle-yet-provacative performance from Madonna as the subject of a young boy's fantasies... :)

I voted other I liked "Crazy For You" and "Live to Tell" because I liked the songs as well as the movies they were from.
The "Borderline/Like A Virgin/Holiday/Burning Up/Dress You Up(One of my fav songs of hers) videos from that time were okay until I met a girl who was a model in New York during that time.She meet Madonna in person and was trying to figure out why she smelled so bad. She asked Madonna how do you get your hair to look like that? Madonna said "Oh, I don't wash it for 2 or 3 weeks" It was her hair that reeked! I still get a little grossed out when I see those videos and think about that!
But I really like Madonna even her new stuff!

I voted for "Papa don't preach". I wasn't anywhere near ever being in a situation like the one she portrayed in the video, but I was always so touched at the end of the video when she and her father hugged and he accepted her situation.
The guy that played her boyfriend in the video was pretty hot, too.

I voted for "other" because my favorite Madonna video was (is) Express Yourself.

I think that's actually probably one of my all-time fav videos. I think the contrast of coloring in it is done very well ... and let's face it girls: all those men with their shirts off is very very AWESOME!

But, I like the way Madonna looks in it. I think it's timeless: doesn't look '80s. I guess that's because she was going for a more 40s-ish look. Loved that green dress, too.

I threw in 'Like a Prayer' although I'd say it's a tie between that and 'Open Your Heart' :cool:

My favorite Madonna videos are "Frozen" and "Lucky Star".

I'm surprised that Express Yourself isn't on that list...I would've thought it would get a lot of votes.

Being a HUGE Madonna fan and collector since 1983, I can say, this was a tough choice!! For 10 years "Material Girl" was my favorite video ever!! Alas, in 1985, Madonna made a beautiful black and white masterpiece called "I Want You", her rendition of the old Marvin Gaye song. WOW! This just blew me away and nothing has compared since! :thumb:

I liked for other. I like the video for the song BURNING UP. I dont know if it was her first video but it sure looked like it. It looked like a true typical 80s video.:cool: :) A kind of video you really dont know whats going on but thats in a good way. a video with really no kind of direction. Plus you can tell its from the 80s with the fashion and how it was filmed with kind of cheap settings.

Scott, I think the live performance video for "Everybody" may be Madonna's official first video, but as for storyline video "Burning Up" would be it! :thumb: Mike, chime in please...:)

That Pepsi scandal started right here in my hometown of Corpus Christi with the Bishop Rene Gracida at the helm of the boycott! I was shocked by this and shocked that I actually lived in the town where it all started! :lol:

Wow, yet another thing I learned about Corpus. Geez, that's too bad.
Anyway, this was my first poll, I can't believe I left off Material girl,and a lot of other great videos. that was a great video. My favorite video is Borderline. I love that song.

I voted for "Like a Prayer" because of all the controversy that spread because of the video. When I found out that the Catholic Church was upset with the video, I decided that I would have to see the video for myself to see what all the fuss was about.

I actually liked all of her videos. My most favorite though is "Like A Virgin". That got me hooked onto the Material Girl.

Like a Virgin was so slutty and then her performance on MTvs Mucic Awards was a young boys dream. A younger kid in school with my daughter said Shakira is the hottest girl around I had to laugh to myself.

Material girl! I loved Marilyn Monroe so much as a teen, and when I saw the video I thought it was great!!!!!! I liked the simple days of Madona far more than her more "unique" stuff cause all us "wanna be Madona's" had something to subscribe to!

I remembering 4 of my friends and I dancing the "Lucky Star" dance at a Jr. prom and the 5 of us girls being the center of attention that whole Jr. prom!!!!! Made me feel like a STAR :) ummmmm...I think that was my few minutes of fame!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!! :lol:

I love Madonna's "I Want You". The video and song are so haunting, I too was blown away! As for my pick, I chose other - "Erotica"! Haha just kidding... (sort of). Okay I'll admit, I love any video that's controversial. That's why I love Madonna. She was one of the few (female) artists who dared to go where no one had gone before. She was different, and most of all, she wasn't afraid to express her sexual side in music and videos. She believed that you should not be afraid to embrace you sexuality and desires. Most of all, she always seemed to know what she was doing, and was always in control of her career and life. She was damn smart, too.

I voted for other. Even though "Crazy For You" and "Gambler" are the same videos, I would have to vote for them. Which is 2 videos in one as it was from the movie "Vision Quest" where Madonna plays a singer who does gigs in a bar. Totally addicted to "Gambler".

I voted for Papa Don't Preach, only because the guy in the video is HOT!!!!!!! :biglick: (I'm so shallow)
