Did everyone here have more than one Swatch? Like several going up your wrist? I LOVED Swatches!!
I had the coolest green one, the band was green with yellowish-green spots goinng down it.. I had several, but that one was my favorite...
Anyone know where you can get those anymore? I mean like the cool styles that we had back then...

Matter of fact, I am sitting here looking at mine. Yup! I still have it. Here's a description:
Red plastic band with holes in it, black bezel with a black face (yellow and blue rings on it), a blue Swatch Guard and a yellow loop on the band for securing the extra wrist band. It was called the "Wind Unit". Love that watch...

If I'm here and your here doesn't that make it our time?
Ohhh that is so cool, Shakey!! I had forgotten about Swatch guards!!! Oh so cool!!!!
I want one!!!!! I still have my favorite green one.. but its been broken for years and years.. the band is broken in half and the face is scratched up.. I saved it though, as an 80s souvenier

Swatches were one thing that never caught on where I lived. Don't remember anyone I knew having them.

I always coveted other people's Swatches. (We were too poor for stuff like that!) Nobody in my school wore more than one at a time, though... we weren't cool enough for that!
I did have a much-loved, lavender Timex watch with a hand in place of the "5." Kind of a knockoff-Swatch. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif

Hey, Tinajo. I looked at a new Swatch not long ago. They don't look anything like they used to. All of the ones I saw were in monochromatic colors. Most of those seemed to be silver. Not my style at all. Maybe you'll like them though. Hope so! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif

Iluvthe80s 5-08-01, 05:13 AM I never owned a Swatch back in the day. I know that every kid in school had them though.
80sTrivia 5-15-01, 10:30 PM I used to wear two Swatchs on one wrist, and one on the other... what's the logic??? A girlfriend of mine wore watches around her ankles??? Does anyone remember Digits, the ring watches... said girlfriend had a ton of those things...
Its like, fer shurr, you know?!? (http://www.SwiftSite.com/80sdude)

I wore swatches on both wrists and on my left ankle when I wore miniskirts!!! I had a bunch of 'em (I think about 10 or 12), and I had at least 3 of the smelly ones! I think I still have them packed away somewhere....*sigh*
~G
80sTrivia 7-29-01, 03:11 PM Too kewl, Gretchen!!!
I remember this one girl from school that used to buy those plastic kiddie watches and wear four or five of them on her wrists and ankles. I guess she couldn't afford Swatches or Fossils!!!

I won three swatches on ebay a few months ago... all very awesome, vintage 80s swatches still in the box! (2 from 85 and the best one from 82, I think)
I got all three for $28 !!! so if you're looking for the old Swatches from the 80s... ebay is the place!

I had a friend who wore a lot of those.I never did.Sounds interesting,though.
Greenway88 4-12-02, 09:28 AM I misplaced my watch last night and as I looked for it I remembered some of the funky watches I wore in High School. My favorite was a grey one that had a black face and neon colored rectangles on the face.
Did any of you wear a Swatch? If so, could you describe it?
I had a Swatch. It was boring though. Solid black with gold hands. I did put a neon green Swatchguard on it though.
I still have it, but it's no longer in working condition. It just sits in my jewelry box because I refuse to get rid of it.
80sTrivia 4-12-02, 10:36 AM I had tons of Swatches. I remember when it was fashionable to wear two or three different Swatches on both arms. I lost track of most of my watches, except for one with a paisley face and multi-colored wristband. :)
LOSTNTHE80S 4-12-02, 10:38 AM I had a SWATCH it was pink and white. It went great with all the pinks, purples, and blacks I wore back then!:D
I had tons of swatches also. My fav was probably the one that was all black and hypnotic spiral for the face, the hands were red and no numbers. Everyone would ask how can you tell what time it is on that thing. Well, they didn't have to worry about it, it was my watch. It wasn't one of those skinny ones, it was nice and big.
As I have complained about several times on this board :D I never had a Swatch, we were too poor. I almost bought one a few weeks ago, there's a Swatch store at the mall by my office!
I had about four swatches. I used to have the plastic cross protector so the surface wouldn't get scratced. I used to like to go to the store and pick out the next one i'd buy. They really had some cool designs. If I'm not mistaken, there was a Keith Haring Swatch. :)
I never had a Swatch watch. :(
But oh how I wanted one back then...
BCRichRocker4JC 8-23-04, 12:10 AM My wife (keriberri) told me she used to have one. Also a cool double handset "Swatch" telephone.

Correction hun, I didn't have a watch I just had a swatch phone. I paid $75 of my own money for that sucker. It was pink and bluish green, and two people could talk on it. I just always wore other people swatch watches. It was the big thing to get the guy you liked to let you wear his watch, I was also stuck on two or three guys so i always had two or three on. What can I say, boys just couldn't say no to me!

Ladyofthe80s 8-27-04, 11:47 PM I had the same Swatch as Jen - Black Magic 1985. That was my warmup for my MOvado, which I still have somewhere.
