I have been looking for a song for yonks now. Recently discovered the title. "Black is black"

Some lyrics:..black is black, i want my baby back. It's grey, it's grey, since she went away. What can I do, 'cause I.... I'm feeling blue.

This was a 70's disco hit as far asI know, but there was a cover done round about 84 or 85 I think. It's not the Rick Springfield version.

I am trying to find out who that artist was.

Wow....I usually can remember stuff like this!! I can hear it in my head right now.....if no one else answers, I am going to try to figure it out. Call people and stuff. I may be able to figure it out.

I liked that song!!

"Black Is Black" is an excellent song done by Los Bravos and you can find the song at CDnow on a CD titled VA-Hard To Find 45's On CD: Vol. 6-More Sixties Classics. The song is also on the Los Bravos album "Black Is Black." The lead singer sounds very much like Gene Pitney.

There are a lot of artists that have the same song title and if there is a disco version of it you may find it at CDnow by the song title itself. The one above is the original song from the sixties.

There's another "Black Is Black" on the album "Pop Back In Time To The 70's" by Jive Bunny & The Mastermixers which may be the disco version.
There is no audio clip on the site for this one though.
Good luck!
