Ok....if you had one, don't be mad at me...but, I couldn't stand the tail! You know, the one where you had long hair, then cut it all short except that back piece that you braided....how awful! Shoulda kept it long.

I have to agree with Dawn on this one. Long hair should be kept long. Especially on guys. Nothing better than a guy with long hair. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//icon20.gif Probably the biggest thing I miss about the 80's is the guys with long hair. It needs to come back. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//crying.gif

My wonderful husband is growing his back out for me! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//icon20.gif Don't know why, but he had cut it all off about 2 years ago. Went in for a trim and brought me back a 12 inch ponytail. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//crying.gif He liked it being short, because, as he said, it was sooo much easier...I pointed out that now he has to go get it cut/trimmed every 4 to 6 weeks to keep it looking good. $$$ Now, he's letting it grow back out. In fact, It's about Sal's length right now. I'm wanting it to get at least to Pagan's length! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//biggrin.gif

The tail, very bad.You know the tail is a cousin to the mullet(just some food for thought)another thing was the pony nub, that little steven segal ponytail that all the middle aged dudes had so they could look "hip".
Very very bad.

The tail was so silly!!! In my school, you were a "wannabe" if you had a tail... I agree with Cultleader... it was a form of the Mullet... YIKES!!

My boyfriend has always had long blonde hair for as long as I have ever known him... but he cut it short last year... work was always giving him a hard time about it, so it was time for a change... he actually looks more handsome to me with it short... he cut it similar to James Hetfield's (Metallica) spikey but messy on top... very cool...

He misses it because he is in a band and its part of the image... but actually, he looks "tougher" with it this way... it works.... But Sal... Yours needs to grow back http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//icon20.gif

I'll admit that I thought the singer of Til' Tuesday was pretty cool. Probably cause I wanted to play bass though. Never did get learning how to play though. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//laugh.gif

There was a guy at work a few years back who showed up with a tail. Every single person who walked by had to stop and give it a pull!

Weren't they called "Rat's Tails"? You know. There may have been a reason for that... I hated those things.

I had long hair back in the 80's. Hanging just off of my shoulders. The reason I cut it off was because I got tired of rolling over in bed, having it get caught under my shoulder and darn near jerking my head off.

Funny story. My Dad was career military, so needless to say, he did not like my long hair. He constantly needled me to get a hair cut. When I finally did, I went home and expected to hear "Now that is a good haircut, son..." Instead, he looked at me and said "My God, you look ugly with short hair. Let it grow back out!" Hehe. Dad was a joker. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif Sure do miss him. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//frown.gif

Dawn,
Please forgive me for this but I have a tail now for the first time in my life. My girlfriend's oldest son, Cody (7 years old), wanted to grow one so I told him if he did I would too.I love him enough to do stupid things with my hair. I used to have long hair but cut it off 5 or 6 years ago.

P.S. It's braided just like his too

I thought tails were cool too! I for a little while I had a couple of tails going on http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//00grin.gif but seriously, I did have some in my hair too, kinda had the Information Society lead singer thing going on.

Be proud, djdaffy, nothing's cooler to a kid than matching hair cuts with someone they look up too. (my son and I do. We even do the matching clothes thing!)

http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//laugh.gif There is an article in last weeks' Time or Newsweek (can't remember which) that says that Segal acted in a movie recently, and didn't get top billing.

The producers made him lose weight, crop off the greasy ponytail and stop wearing his kimonos...
