I can't wait.

Can't say any of the Stevie Nicks songs really appeal to me that much. This one is probably the best in my books.

I voted for other. The song that I best like from Stevie Nicks is "Blue Lamp" from the 'Heavy Metal' soundtrack. This song is haunting and it ROCKS!! :thumb:

You know I went with "Stand back", it was inspired by Prince and Prince plays keyboards on the song and does some minor backing vox! Some even say he helped write it. "has anyone ever written anything for you" would be a close second!

I voted for "Edge Of Seventeen" as my favorite, I'm curious Trixter why ya didn't add "Blue Lamp" to the poll, it IS a great song , I really like it:)

I love Stevie Nicks. I was raised on her. :D One of the times my father saw her in concert he ran down front and held her hand and said she was beautiful then she signed his back! Nows thats cool. :D

My favorite song of hers is "Thunder only happens when it's raining" I think it's called?

That would be Fleetwood Mac's fantastic song "Dreams", Ted. I love that song, too!!! :)

I love all her rockin' stuff, but I had to vote for Leather and Lace. It's just so beautiful, right from the first note. One of those tunes that puts me in a good mood no matter when I hear it!

Excellent poll Trixter! :thumb: I'm such a huge Stevie fan, it's hard to pick a favorite. It depends on my mood. Tonite I went with "other" for the amazing song Sleeping Angel. But really, who am I kidding? Is there a bad Stevie song?? NO WAY!!

I chose "Stand Back", by its Prince-ly virtues.

Yes, djdaffy, it's true...Prince did write "Stand Back". No wonder I love it...the Gypsy and the Purple One on the same song. How could you not love it?

Sincerely,

John "outofplacechild" Kilduff

"I can't wait"; it's so rock n' roll & forceful.
Favorite overall that was not mentioned: Violet & Blue (http://www.cdnow.com/from=sr-181894/mserver/SID=1619977086/pagename=/RP/CDN/FIND/album.html/artistid=NICKS*STEVIE/itemid=472759)

"Stand Back" gets my vote, though "Talk to Me" would have to be a close second. Such a talented singer and definitely valuable to Fleetwood Mac as a singer. Very attractive for her age as well.

Rooms On Fire. Cause it was the first song Xandra ever sang for me, an every time I hear it I'm transported back to that crowded, smokey club - just watchin her belt that out for me.

Got lots of favorites of hers and when she was with Fleetwood Mac

I voted for "Has anyone ever written anything for you."
It's just so sweet and sad and uncomplicated just her and the piano.

My second fave would be Leather and Lace, that's another sweet one, love the duet with Don Henley (I like the story behind the song as well. Stevie was requested to write a song for country legends Jesse Coulter and Waylon Jennings, but then something happened and Stevie ended up recording it with her beau at the time, Don Henley.)

The Edge Of Seventeen, although I bought a CD with Has Anyone Every Written Anything For You, and the story behind it broke my heart.

Sometimes It's a Bitch is my fav Stevie song, But it was hard to choose because I am such a big fan of hers!! Actually, it was funny I was watching Freaky Friday with my 13 year old sister a few weeks ago and in it the mother says to the daughter "I look like Stevie Nicks" and the daughter says "who's he??" well, I started cracking up and my sister just looked at me and said "What's so funny?, who is he?" OMG!!!! I can't believe she doesn't know who Stevie Nicks is!! So sad.

I loved Stand Back, but I was also quite partial to the 1987 duet she did with Tom Petty: Needles and Pins. Tom and Stevie should have recorded a whole album. They sounded so great together
