This memory just popped up out of nowhere, so I had to bring it up. Anyone else collect these back then? Looking back I have no clue why I did, but I do remember it being fun for some reason http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//laugh.gif

Nope. Can't say that I did. I think that if I had collected those in my neighborhood, I would have been in for a beating...

I think you may be confusing these with Cabbage Patch Kids.....not even close to the same deal http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//tongue.gif No, Garbage Pail Kids were trading cards of freakishly deformed kids http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//laugh.gif

I grew up in the ghetto and just about everyone collected these, so this is nothing that would catch a beating http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//tongue.gif

Yeah.. Rock E. Horror was a great card, too!!

My collection was lost somewhere in time, too... although once I stop collecting something... I usually lose all interest and get rid of it.. I am definately not a "pack-rat".

My favorite was definatly New Wave Dave, not only because my names Dave, but also because I've always been into Punk music and he was a total gutter-punk.
(The Ramones rule)just had to add that.

Ha ha! I remember those! If I'm not mistaken I still have my collection somewhere in my closet. We used to buy the packs like there was no tomorrow!

Thanks for the memory!

Yeah, and they were cheap too! I bought 'em like nuts as did everyone else. I feel like an old man saying it, but *puts on a grandpa voice* I remember when trading cards went for 25 to 50 cents a pack! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//laugh.gif

I have many many Garbage Pail Kids as part of my non-sports card collection (all 70's and 80's, I don't collect them anymore).

Oh man, I loved these. My mom collected Wacky Packages in the 60s so she thought my Garbage Pail Kids were a laugh & a half.

I used to have quite a few Garbage Pail Kids cards. I was in the fifth grade when they were at their peak of popularity, and a classmate had a whole sack full of them. Most of mine were from the third series (which came in green wrappers). I also remember once seeing a few cards in a series called "Trash Can Tots", which was more or less a spoof of Garbage Pail Kids.
