I'm looking for a title and singer of this song..
"Only come by every thousand years, she's a midnightrider on a shooting star.. something something something" ok.. I know it an't enough to go by, but it's worth the shot to test out this country board :p
"Big Guitar" by Blackhawk.
Yeah, TJ, Go TJ!! Wooo Hoooo!!! lol BTW, I don't know that one, but it just goes to show that you can be good with more than one genre of music!! ;)

Val! You don't know Big Guitar?? I'm suprised it was a decent size hit. Blackkhawk is absolutely one of the best consisting of Henry Paul (of The Outlaws and Henry Paul Band) and Van Stephenson (who had a top 40 80's pop hit with "Modern day Delilah" and wrote songs for Restless Heart, John Cougar, Kenny Rogers, and many more, R.I.P.) and that often forgotten third guy, I just don't remember who he is. Their best song, bar none, was "Postmarked Birmingham"! It should have been a much bigger hit!
Dave Robbins was the third guy, not sure if he was with any other bands.
There biggest hits here were:
"Goodbye Says It All" being their biggest.
"I'm Not Strong Enough To Say No"
"Every Once In A While"
"I Sure Can Smell The Rain"
Well, DJ, I haven't bought a lot of albums since my son was born, I have to be choosy. ;) LOL I don't particularly care for the lead singer of Blackhawk, his voice can get annoying. I ADORED! Goodbye Says It All, because it was a funny type of goodbye song, not some sappy "I'll just die if you don't come back" nonsense. ;) Sure Can Smell The Rain was also good. I think Every Once In A While is an ego trip for whoever wrote it. lol
