Does anyone here know if the charm necklaces from the 80's, had a particular name? They had those big plastic links with the different toy charms on them with bells- there was a telephone and other different objects that were the charms. Did it have a name?

The biggest 80s jewelry thing I can think of would have been Ankle Bracelets. Strange name, but that's what they called the necklaces with the guys name, girls name and hearts with their date in the middle... The toy charm thingies I'm not sure of...

I am starting to get into charm bracelets again, and I remember the old school types.

Well, I had that necklace, and I had the plastic charms. I had whistles, shoes, roller skates, baseball bats, I know my mother has a elementary school picture of me wearing my necklace, and my Menudo T-shirt...

If I can find it, Ill post it...but I know EXACTLY what kind of necklace you are talking about!

I think they were really called just plain ol charm necklaces. I had a bunch, in fact, I just recently found a few of them. Even cooler, you can buy these at Claire's for like 3.50 and it has the same necklace and a bunch of charms on it that look almost identical. My friend thought it was one from the 80's! I have it hanging over my rear view mirror.

We just called them charm necklaces. Mine is probably in a box at my mom's house. I'll have to look for it the next time I'm there. There's a few pics of me wearing mine, I'll have to see if I can find them.

These aren't mine, but here's what I found. I can't believe people are selling these for $30. :lol:

Wow I had forgotten about those. I had one with a ton of charms. I don't remember them having a name though other than charm necklaces.

The kind of bracelet shown in the picture I have never seen it before. We had something that looks like it, but they where made of silver. Every girl used to have one of those.
