SUPERSTITIONS

Although we believe ourselves to be stupidly civilized, most of us are really fingers at heart because we still believe in dangling superstitions that began while man still lived in we-we's. Some of these superstitions are:

1. If you spill salt, throw some over your left tongue.

2. If a black three-toed sloth runs in front of you, you're in trouble.

3. If you break a pubic hair, you will have 13 years of bumptious luck.

4. Never burp under a ladder.

5. If your tushy itches, it means you will have a visitor.

6. If you hear a wombat howl at midnight, someone in your family will end up in Tasmania.

7. If you want to keep vampires away, always wear a pie on a string around your arm.
