The all ending who is #1 in football Super Bowl has arrived! I can't wait to sit down, beer in hand, and watch a great game. Well, at least the commercials b/c I think this year another blow out is going to take place.

The Rams are going to give The Patriots their head on a platter. Now I am not a big Rams fan I just look at the stats and rankings and they tell me so. But if I am wrong, I will be glad to apologize.

So don't anyone take it personally. It's just a game.

I think the Rams all the way, however I've got to make my 200 dollar wager with the bookie shortly and am not convinced the Rams can cover the 15 point spread. I have a few friends coming over, the beer is cooling nicely except what I drank last night and we'll be ordering chinese food. I've got tomorrow off work, so If the Rams cover the spread it will be a great day :).... Is it my imagination or was the Superbowl played earlier in the day back in the 80's. I thought I remembered San Fran putting it to Cinncinati during the afternoon

Well, I think all the marketing departments realized they could get more of an audience after church.

Unbelievable!!!

Even as a Pats fan, I still had my doubts going into today. Hell, after the Rams scored in the last quarter, I thought it was the same old Pats. But that was an amazing drive.

Man, what a great game and a great finish.

Man John, I can understand your happiness as a Pats fan, but that last drive was given to the Patriots by the refs! First, on one play called out of bounds, no way was the carrier even close to being out of bounds. The Pats got a free time out on that one. Next, Brady BLATENTLY throws an intentional grounding that isn't called. Pathetic.

That was the worst officiated game I've seen in a long time. On the interception returned for a TD by the Pats, a clear blow to the head by the pass rusher on Warner not called. On another play, a deliberate face mask on Hakim not called. On yet another, a helmet to helmet hit on Warner not called. And on YET another, the last kickoff by the Pats, a blatent helmet to helmet hit on the kick returner by the Pats not called. Horrible, horrible officiating!

I give the Pats credit for playing great defense aghainst a great offense, but that final drive was a joke....as was the outcome. That game should have went into overtime.

I'm no fan of my hometeam, but that was wild....this area was/is off the hook. I think the whole area's workforce is gonna be suffering from extreme hangovers tomorrow

You are so right Roem :D (not me though, miraculously!) We're not going to get anything done at work this morning. Maybe not even this afternoon!

As a Pats fan since I could say the word "football..." who's suffered through 20+ years of them being their "usual selves," LOL... I still can't believe it on some level! Most of the people at our party were grad students from out of town, and they didn't really have much of a stake in the Pats winning, though they did get caught up in the game. The 3 or 4 of us who were from New England were standing around the TV afterwards with our mouths hanging open, saying things like "Uh, did that really just happen?"

I had a rotten seat at the party last night, so I didn't see most of the ref problems you mentioned, Pagan. I did notice the low number of flags overall, and some places where I was surprised nobody made a call. The Rams played a great game... I never paid much attention to them before, because they're an NFC team, ;) but I think I will now.

Well, like I promised I am back to apologize. I really thought the Rams would pull it off. They actually almost did, they just couldn't pull it together.

Sorry this took so long since I am just now getting to a computer yesterday.(get together last night, and classes this morning)
