With the upcoming release of the film this year and the several variations of the canine wonder's show, I though of this question.

Which Scooby-Doo era do you prefer, Pre-Scrappy or Post-Scrappy, maybe neither?

Scooby-Doo was one of my favorite, if not the favorite, while growing-up! :thumb:
I voted Pre-Scrappy-Doo, I could not stand this addition to the cast and I started to watch less due to this!

I was too young to appreciate any difference, really.

I actually didn't prefer either, I Hated Scooby Doo with a passion, it just never really interested me and I thought the plots were pretty lame. But this is only my opinion, I hope I don't offend any Scooby fans around here when I say I thought the show Sucked.:p

Definately pre-Scrappy-Doo. I did though still watch it a little after Scrappy-Doo was on there. The original Scooby-Doo will always be the best!

I actually thought Scrappy Doo was funny, but I still voted for Per-Scrappy because by the time Scrappy came along I was just finding the show a little too predictable and story lines and humour almost the same from week to week.

I am really looking forward to the movie, but I just know that if there is a monster in it, it will turn out to be the care-taker dressed up!

Gotta go with pre-scrappy....never was really much interest with the little guy :p Scooby's the only one that really got a chuckle outta me :D

I wa never much a fan of Scobby Doo, does anyone remember a cheep rip off called Goober and the Ghost Chasers.

Like a few people on here, I don't like seeing cartoons made into motion pictures that are non automated. In fact I don't really like seeing many of the TV shows from the 60's 70's and 80's made into feature length movies. One of my favorite shows when I was a kid was Hogan's Hero's, there is talk of making this a motion picture but are running inot problems getting financing. I liked the show the way it was, I don't really want to see new actors reprising the roles it just not the same

My vote was for pre-Scrappy as well, his charecter was a pain in the aress. The same can be said with the recent Scobby-Doo movies that had been shown ad-nauseum on Cartoon Network, you can't bring back Don Meesick (he was the original voice of Scobby-Doo, who died several years ago), who was one of the best cartoon voice actors of alltime IMHO.

I wish that Hollywood would get a clue and stop making these chessy remakes of T.V. shows and movies from the past and come up with something different.

OK-I'm off the soapbox!!!

I agree, Scooby is way overplayed on Cartoon Network. I haven't watched the show in about 5 years despite having had CN all that time... I'm just sick to death of it. I'm not surprised that the franchise has run so long, though... I mean, if they can turn The Land Before Time into *seven* movies... LOL!

I despise Scrappy. I've despised him since the second I laid eyes on him, in 1981 or whenever that was. The only Scooby series I actually like is the very first one, "Scooby-Doo Where Are You." Yoinks!

You know, my favorite Scooby-Doo memory now is actually the "alternate ending" in Wayne's World! Heh!!

Definitely pre. We called him "Crappy Doo". Alright, so it's totally stupid; but we thought we were pretty clever when we came up with it! (How very sad that it was only last year...) :D

I see that it's unanimous. I couldn't stand that little twerp Scrappy-Do. His introduction was Scooby's Jump the Shark, IMO!!!

Whenever I think about Scrappy-Doo, I get all these evil thoughts of violence. Can you guess what I voted? Hehehe.
