I was thinking about Sweet Sensation today and how many songs I loved from this freestyle trio.
My favorites included:
Sincerely Yours
Love Child
Victim Of Love
Take It While It's Hot
Hooked On You

They were pure dance fun! I had both of their cd's. What ever happened to them? Anyone else like Sweet Sensation? I'm sure there's at least one person out there! ;)

Well, you know I like Sweet Sensation, Trixter, as does Roemello. I had to apologize to Roem for forgetting to include SS in my Fave 80s Freestyle Act Poll!!! They were my third favorite female freestyle act, after Expose and Company B!!! :cool:

I definitely like them! I'm really glad to see that we have some Freestyle fans here. You just can't forget this type of music from the 80's.. It was really great. There IS some still being made - but not the same. I wish another band like Sweet Sensation would come along and play fun music again. I'm so sick of all the girl band and r&b crap...

I just heard "Love Child" for the first time a few days ago, and I really enjoyed it!

Just out of curiosity, does anyone here know what album I should look for to find a copy of that song?

I'm not sure if that one's on any compilations off-hand, but the album it's off of originally is also called "Love Child" ;)

"Hooked On You", "Never Let You Go" and "Sincerely Yours" are my SS faves.

Sweet Sensation Lovers..
Well I Got To Say That I Have Loved This Group Forever. Fav Songs Are Well The First Album Was The Bomb I Played The Tape Until I Had To Buy Another One. When I Finally Got My Own Car And Cd's Were Just Replacing The Vynils And The Tapes I Also Bought The Cd And Then Bought Also The Vynil Cause It Had A Different Cover. Man Love Sweet Senstation. Too Bad I Was Not Old Enough To Go To The Clubs But I Hope That Maybe One Day They Will Have A Reunion So That I Can See Them In Person And Get To Meet Them Again. Anybody With Info Or A Reunion Concert Please Let Me Know.

Hey They Were My Fav ,Back Then, I actually went to there concert in s.f., back in 85 Tonite they are in concert in sacramento,ca. Freestyle concert, lisa lisa stevie b, etc Did you like Brenda K star?? She was good!!!

God do I love that song & yes, their remake of Love Child was superb! :thumb: Bought the album & the songs were catchy. Everytime I think of SS, I remember The Cover Girls & Pyjama Party. You guys remember them.These girls churned out some pretty catchy tunes. :yesnod:

I loved them too..I saw them in concert once years ago, when they opened for the New Kids...they were GREAT live! My fav song of thiers is Sincerely yours, but I liked them all.
