I know many things came from the eighties, lets face it, styles repeat themselves, so better keep all those out dated clothing in the closet and get ready for the next style repeat..
I worn something out of the moive "Warriors"..hehehe.. Black leather jacket, black jeans, and yes of course studs and a chain..
What you wore in the eighties?

That sounds like what you wear now hehehe.
This might sound as a surprise to you Sweety, but I was a major tom-boy in the 80's. My fave outfit was an orangish Ninja Turtle out fit. A button up shirt and shorts. I loved it!! I also wore Doc Martin shoes.

In certain parts of the world, it takes awhile for the style to travel.. For example, when I was in Germany about a year ago, mohawks and leather jackets were in style.. when I was in Korea, about a year also, bagging pants came to style..
umm.. mohawks were eighties material and bagging pants were from MC Hammer period...

All I can say love, is that montreal might be behind the times, maybe by a decade http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/tongue.gif

I wish Sweety, but that's not the case. Specialy not in the music department and deffinetly not in the style either. Why do you think I'm such a reject over here? And by the way, I don't see you so up to date in your clothing http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/tongue.gif

Aahhh, clothing. Now this is something I can chat about, being a reformed clothes horse and previosly employed as a menswear salesman, a clothing store manager, and a buyer for a small chain of mens stores. My Style really hasn't changed much since the 60's, but I did succumb to fad and foible from '78 to '81. These were big time Disco Dress days for me...eeewww! Skin-Freaking-Tight polyester pants with HUGE bell, platform shoes, and tight shiney nylon shirts (preferably a color not found in nature!) I promise if I can find a picture I will post it as warning never to bring that hideous look back! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/eek.gif Towards the end of that period I also did the parachute pants and tank-top gig as well, not to bad. I did do many strange things with my hair in the early 80's. I sold clothes to most of the male hairdressers in town and struck a deal with one to keep me in haircuts for free. The catch? He picks the style, color etc. The best(?) was a perm w/tight dangling curls...colored gold, and I mean gold like the metal! Pretty freaky. The classics have survived the times though, Levi 501's, t-shirts, cotton button downs, silk ties. Can't go wrong with those.

I went through many styles in the 80's. I went through my Duran Duran phase of dress. Concert Shirts and Jeans mainly in high school. The short blue jean skirts with t-shirts and the high top Reebok Classics. (I had a white pair and a black pair) I had my share of parachute pants and the flurorescent color shirts also.
