They've got a couple albums, but probably no other single that you've ever heard of.

I garentee you every punk (or punk fan) at my high school (!) knows that song. It's really funny. He's all decked out in the spikes and creepy band shirts and says to his buds, "Dude, it's Modern English!" I fall outa my chair.

I know nothing else of Modern English but "I Melt With You" and "I Melt With You (90's remix)". But I would have to give them both a BIG thumbs up!! :thumb: :lol:

Definately a good album to have is "After The Snow". It is the album that contains the original version of "I Melt With You", plus the song that Belladonna mentioned "Life In The Gladhouse".

"Ink and Paper" was a huge top 40 hit along with "I Melt With You" and by now you know where you can hear it...he, he...!

I just saw Modern English...they go by a new name now (can't think of it at the moment). They opened for Jesus Jones last year. Unfortunately, they were not that good live. Even "I Melt With You" sounded bad. :(

I always loved I melt with you. I have some remix that sounds like it is from the nineties. I didn't even know they had other songs.

I see I wasn't dreaming. I heard "Ink and Paper" a couple of times on KROQ when I was visiting LA on a trip. "I Melt With You" has been a little overplayed in my neck of the woods, but I sure would like to hear "Ink and Paper" again.

Greenway88, I play "Hands Across the Sea" and "Ink and Paper" as well as "I'll Melt with You" regularly on my interenet radio broadcast (link below). "Hands Across the Sea" is one of those great tunes many have forgotten about, but makes people say "oh, yea, great tune"...when they hear it again...
