Do you think the Mike Tyson - Lennox Lewis fight should take place on April 6th?

As he has a rape conviction and now faces the possibility of further charges, should Mike Tyson be given a license to fight ever again?

Though, for some reason, I don't think he raped anyone this time. I think some women just wanna big peice of Iron Mike's money and will use their tears, lies, and cunning to get it.

The scenes at that news conference were disgraceful, these men are supposed 'professionals', so how they are allowed to stand their and yell abuse, and then proceed to kick the crap out of each other is quite beyond me.

Boxing is turning into a money farce, and the sooner individuals like Don King and Tyson are ejected from the sport, the better as far as I'm concerned.:mad:

I want to see this fight happen, if for no other reason that to see Lennix Lewis get his Pansy British ass kicked.

Personally I dont care about the "convictin" since from what I read on the case, I dont believe he rpaed that girl to begin with. But, even if he did, he went to jail, missed the best years of his boxing life, and paid his debt to society.

I couldn't care less if Lewis does get his ass kicked - the whole thing is a load of over-hyped male machoness that really makes me sick.

By the time I've finished sitting through all the nonsense boxers talk these days before the fight, I've really had just about all I can stand.....

I do have to admit Tyson is a strong contender in any fight and as long as he acts this way the media is going to jump all over it. That will make more people watch and more people place bets. But it is all about the names in this fight. Because about 3 mos ago there was a fight on ESPN and the loser in the fight sucker-punched the winner afterwards. This guy was arrested on the spot and taken to jail for assault. He knocked the guy out and busted his mouth. So it just depends on who you are.

I hope Tyson get's his arse whooped. The sheer fact that it isn't an American who is the world champion makes me smile.

I hope another European takes over after Lennox. All the American boxing experts needs something to keep their mouth shut.

I guess that the bout will happen, no matter what was in the past...there´s already too much money involved. Nice stunt, that little shuffle - say nothing against a good make-up to catch the interest of the people...maybe we can even watch some boxing inbetween the commercials. :rolleyes:

As far as I know, there are 5 (!) world champion titles available, depending on the different boxing associations. And all af them claim that their belt is the only real thing...
I´m watching these fights occasionally, just to see more or less healthy men who could be respectable athletes in other fields punching the living shit out of each other. Personally, I´m preferring the Irish style - a pub, some pints of Guinness, no gloves - and afterwards, they´re shaking hands and continue drinking. :lol:

Tyson is a piece of crap! I hope Lewis beats him like rug. That guy is the epitome of poor sportsmanship and deserves no place in professional athletics.

I hope they get to fight. I recently saw Mike Tyson fight in Copenhagen. I hope Lennox Lewis beats him, so he can feel how abuse is. Mike Tyson does not know how to treat women, so he deserves to feel some pain.

There should have simply been a "Mike Tyson should be banned from boxing" choice. His rape conviction notwithstanding, he has shown his inability to behave as a sportsman. Biting usually goes out before Kindergarten, so maybe he has been hit too many times? He should have been banned with the first bite.

But since they'll box (and I won't watch it, anyway) I hope Tyson gets his ass kicked, then banned. :p

I don't really care if they convict and send him to the gas chamber in a couple years... I just want to see the fight take place, thats all I ask:)
