Strange fact about "Back to the Future II"

In the movie "Back to the Future Part II," Michael J. Fox picks up a paper and it reads "Florida wins World Series in 1997." The movie was made in 1989, before the Florida Marlins even existed.

There was also an article in a USA Today paper (I think that's what it was) that Michael J Fox picked up that read something to the effect of Princess Diana visiting another country sometime in the 21st century...

Although how could the writers have known that nearly 10 years later she would be killed...

It's an urban legend that has been around for some time. An urban legend that apparently hasn't even seen the film. Marty saw an ad for Chicago Cubs winning the World Series, they swept the Miami Gators.
