jeepers! I remember that - when I used to play tennis people would write it in the score book, but they used a 'T' as in 8-T-7
I guess it was the Australian way of pronouncing it

Has anyone figured out how to refer to this decade. It used to be "hey its the 80s" , "hello, wake up its the 90s" and now I can't say anything and its driving me crazy. Any ideas????

I usually say, like, if something is wrong with our network "It's the year TWO THOUSAND!".. Meaning, jeez. This shouldn't be happening anymore.. Or "It's the NEW MILLENNIUM..." That's all I've been able to come up with. Original, eh? bah
