Hey Y'all,

Does anyone know what Cyndi Lauper has been up to? I know she's had a recording career beyond the 80's and I saw her opening for Cher in 1999, but has she been doing anything else, recording? performing? etc....

She's just gone small-time, like so many other 80s acts. I still don't know about any new albums or anything.

Sincerely,

Thanks for that info on Cyndi and the link to the site Stacy. :)
I am so glad to hear she has a new album coming out soon.
BUT, I found a VERY slanderous remark on that page and did it get my dander up! I've posted a very nice message in their guestbook.

It's good to see that Cyndi is still out and performing and looking fantastic. I had the fortune of seeing her opening for Tina Turner in concert a few years back, when she was pregnant, and I was happy to see her. I've always had a special place in my heart for Cyndi!!!

I saw Cyndi in concert in '99 opening for Cher. The whole show was fantastic! :thumb:

Cyndi Lauper has release about three albums in the 90's and has been in some independent films

I also recall Cyndi having a recurring (albeit small) role on the NBC sitcom "Mad About You" (Paul Reiser, Helen Hunt), as the ecclectic ex-wife of Paul Reiser's cousin.

Yeah I remember seeing that too. I think that was before her pregnancy was really showing through. I never liked that show (I didn't think it was funny), but I was surprised to see her on it.

She did a fourth of july show last year in Boston, she came on right before *gag cough* Arlo Guthry.
