What happened to these guys? They started out punk and ended up Thrash metal. I really enjoyed the first album with "I saw your mommy", "Suicidal failer", and "Institutionalized" on it. Although I liked songs like "Trip at the brain" it just wasn't the same.
I have no idea, but I lost all interest in them after the first album. The new direction did not appeal to me at all!
I know one Suicidal Tendencies song........Don't hate me....."Christian Margaritas.....We're goin' straight to Hell"! My roommate in '86, who just happens to be my very bestest friend in the whole world HATED that song. She felt it was sacriligious.
This from the girl who has 4 tatoos and shaved her head. She saw Black Flag, The Dead Kennedys, and Skinny Puppy in concert. But she didn't like Suicidal Tendencies.
She dated a guy who was in a band named Kustom Kar Kommandos (well, so did I though not the same guy). Talk about punk. Some of the members of that band are still together and the new band is called Billy Joe Winghead and they play in OKC. Unfortunately they always seem to be on the road when I go home to visit, so I never have seen the new band play.:(

I have the 'Camera Lights Revolution' and must say that this disc is pretty entertaining. ;)
They were understood as the spearhead of 'Crossover' here, together with artists like Anthrax. But apart from the "How Will I Laugh Tomorrow" single, their other outputs didnīt find my whole acclamation.
I guess they went the way of many artists of this genre...once that this hype was exploited enough, they were dropped from the record label and went into oblivion.

After The Art of Rebellion half the band created a new band Infectious Grooves and it was more funk and then with grunge they slipped away.... That's all I know.

i think only mike muir was the only member of the band from the first album to make it to join the army (or am i wrong?) so in a sense we are seeing an entirely different band really
controlled by hatred... is a good album but i would agree that they should have stuck to the skate punk instead of skate metal then just metal (at least for a couple more albums)
does anyone know what is said at the start of the track "subliminal"???
"I'm not crazy!
(Institutionalized)
You're the one that's crazy!
(Institutionalized)"
they got us through some chaos in the late 80's..
that's the last I heard of them
