Hey. I just found out that if we switch to vBulletin, we can get ALL of our ezBoard threads migrated in. Is that cool or what?! I'd officially be able to close down that area and only open it in case of an emergency. Or, maybe use it for something entirely different. Maybe a place to post your 80s websites and have people review them or make comments, etcetera.. I love UBB - but I do like the idea of getting our ezBoard conversations in the mix here. Just for the fact that it's where everything began...

Sal, I went to vbulletin myself and took a run through their admin demo...very cool stuff there. It even looks as if you'll be able to add unlimited custom smilies, customize your own BB code as much as you want...key word is customizable and doesn't seem to hard to run either.

Anyway, if this thing is cheaper to run and can save you some, you got my support on it. I love this UBB deal too, but if the vbulletin could actually work out better, then roll with it <img src="wink.gif" border="0">

Luckily, I've already purchased a license. So, I own it already. The whole idea in doing this is because the UBB is costing more bandwidth - but that is not a fact. I will have to look further into this assumption. The coolest things about vBulletin is it comes with all the specials features already built-in. That's nice. Like calendar and memberlist... I think the UBB is more stable though. But now - we can import out ezBoard posts with vBulletin. So that's making things sound even better...

As long as I get to post like a maniac and it comes complete with a chatroom and all, you won't hear any complaints from me <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Yes, Sal.. our chatroom has been a major good point for us! That is something that no other 80s boards have, and it really keeps our members active in here as well..

That way, we post messages that pertain to the topics and don't just chat back and forth.. (since we can go to the chatroom for that!)

You really do have a way with words Val...lol <img src="wink.gif" border="0"> The vbulletin's a pretty good deal...and with a whole lot of customizing, should look like home in no time when/if we make the switch <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
