I have this CD that I made with Panama and Jump from Van Halen, Rock the Night (I think) from Rockarazzi (a new band) and the rest Motley Crue (all assorted years of my favorites).

Well, I also made this other CD with the first song being Big Payoff http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/redface.gif - hehe I hope they don't sue me! I will buy their whole album, but.. This song is so good I couldn't wait.. You really oughta check out Atello if you haven't yet! The rest of the CD is Megadeth...

I've been playing The Eurythmics Greatest Hits--- I forgot what a great voice Annie Lennox has! What really got me was how I still knew all the words to "Sweet Dreams (Are MAde of This)." Remember that video-- how shocking she looked with that cropped red hair? These days that's tame (err... Gwen Stefani in the latest No Doubt vid?)!
OF course, I always have Duran Duran "Greatest" poised and ready to go into my CD plkayer when I need to feel happy... the music always takes me back to my fifteenth birthday...when I got my first real kiss from a boy..."Save a Prayer" was blasting through the school gym....sigh....
I saw that boy at my HS reunion.. he is bald now!

Today it was all Expose, Cover Girls, Giggles, Sa-Fire, Lissette Melendez, and Sweet Sensation. Like I mentioned in my introduction message (since I'm new), I've got 10 CD's of 80's music in the car I've been listening to. The one I was just playing on the way to work this morning has these songs on it:
All You Zombies - The Hooters
Hit Me With Your Best Shot - Pat Benatar
Wishing (if I had a photograph of you) - Flock of Seagulls
Walk the Dinosaur - Was Not Was
You Dropped a Bomb on Me - The Gap Band
Borderline - Madonna
and lots of others, of course!

Some other 80's songs that are my current favorites are:
Look of Love - ABC
Send Me An Angel - Real Life
The Politics of Dancing - The Re-Flex
Like to Get to Know You Well - Howard Jones

So you can see the list is wide and varied!

Trains can be pretty fun if you're with the right people http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smile.gif Me and bunch of friends take the train into Boston when WWF events come into town (it's easier than driving, plus the train pretty much stops right inside the Fleet Center). God my babysitter is crazy about WWF but I'm actually glad he's spending his money on events in toronto, on payperview and action figures rather than drugs. The poor kid bought The Rock's book and waited in line for 12 hours to get him to sign it and never did get to see the guy - he was crushed.

Just last night I made an 80's metal mix CD for the car. I'm not saying it's a definitive collection but I like it! Give me your opinions and here's what's on it:
Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne
Shout at the Devil - Motley Crue
Lay it down - Ratt
Say what you will - Fastway
Youth gone wild - Skid Row
Someone like you - Bang Tango
Smooth up in ya - Bullet Boys
Rainbow in the dark - Dio
Wasted Years - Iron Maiden
Rock you like a hurricane - Scorpions
Fantasy - Aldo Nova
Cum on feel the noize - Quiet Riot
Peace sells - Megadeth
Round and round - Ratt
You've got another thing comin' - Judas Priest
Looks that kill - Motley Crue
Shot in the dark - Ozzy Osbourne

You can tell I really like Ratt, the Crue and Ozzy. Tell me what you think and give me some suggestions for the next volume I'm going to make! Everybody have a great weekend!

I heard "Come on Eileen" on the radio and busted my gut laughing. My little bronther used to spank the monkey to that song! He'd lock himself in the bathroom for hours, playing that song over and over. Ewww....I can't believe I remember that.

You two are disgusting! I wonder how many songs out there are actually about *THAT* thing. We all know Turning Japanese is one, She Bop is another. Pump It Up - Elvis Costello, The Boys Light Up - Australian Crawl, TUBEWAY ARMY - Everyday I Die, BUZZCOCKS - Orgasm Addict, NEW ORDER - The Perfect Kiss, ROXY MUSIC - In Every Dream Home A Heartache, MR. BUNGLE - The Girls Of Porn, BILLY SQUIER - The Stroke, THE PIXIES - Holiday Song, THE WHO - Pictures Of Lily, PRINCE - Darling Nikki, POLICE - Be My Girl (Sally), BILLY IDOL - Dancing With Myself, CLARENCE CARTER - Strokin', IGGY POP - I'm Bored, THE CURE - Close To Me, XTC - Pink Thing.

NOT FORGETTING BAND NAMES...

PEARL JAM
10CC
THE VIBRATORS
THE HARD-ONS

Can anyone think of anymore!??

Well first of all in the car in the afternoon's you really can't beat Opie & Anthony (I'm over here now!). But when O & A aren't on, I've been listening to the new Bon Jovi and Poison cd's. Also my Cinderella, Dokken, and Slaughter collection have been getting a lot of play lately because I'm going to the Poison show in Hartford, CT Friday night (after checking out Bon Jovi in the morning in the City!). Can't wait to see all those bands.
By the way Sal, you really should check out Godsmack.

Hey Sal,

I'm interested to find out how you got your hands on my CD. I am the bass player for Rockarazzi and when I was doing a search I saw this pop up. Glad you dig our live CD!

Too bad you are down in FL. we've been out of comission for a few years, but we're doing a reunion show 3/11/05 with White Lion and Enuff Znuff at the Webster Theatre in Hartford CT!

Once again, glad you like the stuff.
