Okay. Here's a new forum that somebody just emailed me with the idea for. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif I thought it was good enough to get right to it and add it up. The guy's name is Fred and I hope he pops up here soon to claim his idea. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif Here was the email he sent:

Thanks, Fred!

This is a great idea. Thanks Fred. This was the decadewhen confidence in American policies and the president was a an all time high. Reagan's economic policies made a lot of people prosper. They are a big reason why I had so much fun in the 80s. Lets start a specific subject to discuss. I'm still on antibiotics (cough medicine with codeine), so I'll have to start one up another time. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//00happy.gif http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//spin.gif

I agree, Tinajo. Some things you just don't make fun of! Anyone that would do so, has never had to experience a loved one go through it. It's a deep down hurt you can't get rid of.

I've seen it up close and way too personal. I'd rather just go quitely in my sleep dreaming of my beloved 80's... Is this where I start singing "Glory Days"? http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smile.gif

Re: Ol' Ronnie da Prez...

I honestly think he was one of the best presidents we ever had...

You know all that prosperity Billy Bob Bubba Boy Clinton took credit for?

"Trickle down economics" means it takes a long time to show the true effects!! He was taking credit for Reagan's work, and Reagan gets the shaft all the time.

That's one thing that few people realize....That the good things that happen during a presidency are usually not (though sometimes they are) a result of that president's work, but of the guy who was in there about 10 years prior. Take Dubya's budget/tax plan -- it's set up to take full effect sometime in 2012, I think it is? Will he be in office? He probably won't be in office more than 1 term, but if the next guy doesn't turn all that around, we'll see the effects long after Dubya's Departure...

Anyhow, Ronnie Reagan Rules... http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//cool.gif
