Back to a slightly more sane group, Fleetwood Mac. For me, this is Buckinghams finest hour. One of the best male vocals in the business, this is the classic 'Big Love' from 1987's 'Tango In The Night':

We finish up January's picks with the Simple Minds. Some tracks just get better and better with age, and this next track is a perfect example for me. 'Big Sleep' was never released as a single from the brilliant 'New Gold Dream 81-82-83-84' album, but I think it sums up perfectly what the Simple Minds were all about:

I probably own more 80's Italo disco that most Italians! I think I should feel more at home when I move to Switzerland next month as Italy is only a couple of hours away...

It's just amazing how different the Europeans actually were when it comes to what was hip in the charts of the 80s - I'm currently on a "Belgian" trip, and I'm still baffled about the output which had passed the German listeners almost unnoticed apart from the few OHW (German chart notations) and club tracks which had surfaced here.
For examples, try out 2 Belgen, Nacht Und Nebel or TC Matic...and then, just follow the path on YouTube. I'm sure you (and all the others) will be amazed.
