Has anyone ever looked at the prices of moving to another country when you retire.


I have just been playing around seeing these nice retirement villia's, condo's etc in places like Thailand, Costa Rica, Mylasia, Panama. You can retire for next to nothing and live like a king. Your surrounded by other retiree's from Western countries , and it's safe.


I was looking at one place in Thailand, where you get a 2 bedroom condo, two baths, , golfcourse, swimming pool for 212usd a month, a live in maid was an additional 212. You get US Satellite tv etc.

It IS very interesting.. My wife and I want to live outside the U.S. to see what it's like... Retiring elsewhere is a possibility as well...

Sounds intriguing. Problem is if you did something like that it would be virtually like saying goodbye to your family forever.
