Ha ha yeah! the strip looks surreal! did you get any night photos of it at street level txgirl? I would love to see that!!!! Vegas is bizarre! it really is in the middle of the desert somewhere isn't it? what's it like walking around at night?

Vegas is awesome. I was lucky enough to go twice and had a blast both times.
To answer your question Retro, night time is a trip because everything stays opened. There's a reason they call it "The city that never sleeps." It's great. I'd go back again in a heartbeat.

it was awesome...i didn't get any pics a street level but i believe my friends did. as soon as they get me some copies i will show you.
night time was happening... i mean we were there during the week and it was booming. we got to see alot and even got a history lesson from one of the cabbies who was from the area. it was pretty interesting.

we flew in during the day and didn't get to see the lights from the plane. i hear it is pretty cool. it's like you see nothing but pitch black and then all of a sudden.........LIGHTS....maybe next time we go we will fly in at night.

I wish I could have listened in, I love history stuff like that. I mean, I would love to know it's origins and why Vegas is in the middle of nowhere!?

Could it be because in the old days when you couldn't pay up your gambling debts etc they would take you out into the desert and stake you to the ground for the ants and vultures to eat you something?! no one would ever know you where there!

...I think I watch too many movies! :laugh:

I LOVE chatting w/ the cabbies when I travel ... they're usually a plethera of information!!!
