What do you prefer to do when it comes to movies?

I rent and buy most of the movies I watch. Hardly ever go to the movies. We paid way too much money for our home theater system so we can watch them in the comfort of our own home without having to deal with sticky floors, talking/crying kids and people that sound like COWS when they eat popcorn & candy!

Although, certain movies (like Cloverfield for instance) HAVE to be seen on the "big screen".....

I love going to the movies, but will only go if it's a big blockbuster movie.

I’m a downloading whore, and proud of it!:yesnod::lol: However, if I do download a movie it means that they (the producers) got my money somewhere along the line.:rules: I still love going to the theater to see my films first and all the cool new trailers too.:hyper: And I will buy the odd DVD just for the extras. I have no moral problem downloading the flick if I’ve already paid to see it, bought the VHS at some time in the past or already have an old DVD copy of it. I mean come on, how many times do they expect me to pay for the same damn movie?:irked: That being said, my personal DVD collection now consists of well over 2000!:dizzy: I’ve stopped counting.

NETFLIX baybee!! LOVE it!! :thumb:
Some movies HAVE to be seen in the theater ... TRANSFORMERS, CARS, MATRIX ... though they have been known to rattle the windows and doors here at the house!!! :yesnod: The really good ones, I'll by the DVD's w/ special features. Others, it's Netflix & the burner!! I've gotta' agree w/ my stalker ... I have no problems downloading or copying something I've already paid to see or have purchased merchandise for, etc ... but d@mn ... I'm not up to 2000 yet :yikes:
I am getting a bit disappointed in all the CG in all the films though. I love the art, use it myself, but sometimes I think the good 'ole, real time stunts are actually more spectacular!!!

I voted for rent because that's what we always used to do. And it was always with the option to dub. We had a VCR and a player and we just about always dubbed off the flicks we rented. Mainly because we knew that if we were going to spend the money to rent, it was going to be something we wanted to keep..
Now we have 2 VCRs and a DVD player so every once in a while we'll buy a DVD if we really want it.
The VCRs get used for recording off Tv.

Usually rent them. Even when we buy them we hardly ever re-watch them so it's a waste of money for us. We go see a movie maybe once or twice a year, usually on Christmas day.

LOVE IT!!!:thumb: It's just a shame that the current price of Blu-ray disks are so high. As most people here know, I'm a major computer geek so I have started converting to HD and Blu-ray as much as possible. I have an Audigy 7.1 Sound Blaster surround sound card in my computer. That, coupled with a smokin’ 6 speaker sound system makes any digital media I play, music or movies, rock the house… literally!:mwaha:

Very, very seldom do we go to the movies and we don't rent many DVD's either.
We usually see something we like and buy it. I have over 400 DVD's in my collection not counting TV show season or concert DVD's.

All of the above.. We see a lot of movies at the theater. They just revamped the place and put in some swanky leather seats. I also have netflix. If I really like a movie or need it for my collection i'll buy it.
