What's the most disgusting food you've ever eaten?

My grandmother's over boiled cabbage. If you wanted to see green cabbage end up white, then my grandmother's place was the place to go for dinner.

I'm not one for trying out weird things. It's one of the reasons I could never go on a show like Fear Factor. If it's not supposed to be eaten, you won't see me eating it.

Fried Liver or Kidneys. no contest for me! Offal is disgusting and I dont care that James Joyce mentioned it in Ulysses, its muck!

My grandmothers pasta sauce (on my dads side), steamed oysters( raw was good. steamed was chewey) and okra. :ill:

When I was down in Miami once my husband ordered a cup of some kind of Cuban soup that tasted like it came straight from a Cuban's asshole. I don't know what was in it, but it was VILE.

Green peppers! YUCK! They can ruin any food they come in contact with! YUCK! YUCK! YUCK!

I tried this Thai coconut milk soup once. I was expecting it to be kind of light and with lots of sweet veggies like carrots and bamboo shoots and instead it was HOOOOOOOTTTTTTT!!!!!!

When food is so hot you can't taste anything but the "hot" then it's gross.

Haggus, when I was little, my family went to family friend's St. Andrew's Day party and they had haggus. I tried it, and totally hated it.
I also tried deep fried Twinkies, and it was gross. :ill:

wow, I can't think of anything I've had in a loong time that I didn't like. If it doesn't look or sound good from the ingredients, I won't eat it.

Probably Menudo when I was about 12. I was at my friend Cruz's house, they were Mexican, and this stuff was soup, but with nasty, grisly meat in it. I asked what it was, and they said cow guts. :yucky:

And before that, my friend and I use to put Spam on toast. I liked it at the time, but no way!

Yah, Menudo is gross, my husband eats it whenever we are in Colorado visiting his family :irked: The meat they use it in is tripe....no f*ckin way I'm eating that nasty stuff.

I agree about the green peppers, I cannot stand them & they ruin the taste of otherwise good food for me. Love red, orange & yellow bell peppers though....

My mom boiled asparagus when i was a kid. That was without a doubt the nastiest stuff. I puked all over the kitchen table that was the end of asparagus for dinner.:D Don't get asparagus,onions, or celery near me :barf:

I am with Val, I hate whites of eggs and those little white thingies inside the whites. I clean all that out before I make me an egg.

I also don't like water chestnuts. It's not the flavor I don't like, it's the texture. I try to avoid them when I have Chinese food.
Also, I'm not a huge fan of turnips, except if they're mixed with other veggies like in ratatuey (sp).

I can't stand hamburger beef :ill: I stick with ground turkey or sirloin.

I hate tomatoes but like things cooked with tomatoes. I just pick the tomatoes out.

I forgot Liver and Onions also. I can not stand raw cauliflower or Broccoli ( like them cooked though ) Oyster's, frog legs, snails, elk meat and cow balls are up there also. ( I have never had the last 5 item's mentioned except elk meat, but would not taste them for a million dollars either. ) :lol:

Spinach! Absolutely HATE it! Yet Chooch tries to "force feed" it to me!

Hey Diofan. Raw or cooked? Cooked spinach is pretty bad, I agree, with raw spinach in a salad is actually quite nice.

Disgusting food=anything my brother cooks. :lol: He once made chili with kilbosi and left over mashed potatoes. His thinking..it's all going to the same place why not mix it all together? :ill:
