Who here is going to watch The Oscars?

I am for sure. I love watching to see who wins and who is wearing what.

I will pass. After the Grammy's last year took the night to bash the President and the USAs stance on the war, I will just ignore the entertainment industries political opinions. I want to see movies, not actor's opinions.

I don't like that either, Jasper, but I tend to change the channel if they get policial. When will these performers know that awards shows is not the place to voice your policial views, whether it's Republican or Democrat. Awards shows should be just to thank those who you care about and just have fun.

I Seldom watch award shows! If I like it, it's good enough for me, Don't need (or care) to know what other actors or organizations think of a film or artist.

Not me, I usually fall asleep during award shows. :lol:

I find most award shows tedious and boring these days, so I normally just watch the reviews the following morning! :lol:

I don't know why I watch the Oscars. I used to watch with my Mom when I was younger. I think it's kind of a tradition for me. My Mom and I talk about who our choices are and then we see who wins. :lol:

My Dad used to watch all these and it drove me batshit. :lol: First there's the dramatic two minute lead-in to the nominees, then the "thank you, I'm glad you adore me as much I do" speeches, the music to get people off the stage so we can have five minutes of commercials.

I watch a few minutes of the Music Awards shows, but don't usually stick to those, either.

And I hate pageant shows! Ugh! Pretty girls, scholarships, whoop-de-doo! Impress me. Give the scholarship to the 150 pound girl with buck teeth, A cups, and a 4.0 GPA. When the other girls are fainting and screaming and looking like Jerry Springer, that's when I'll be sorry I missed it. :lol:

Yep, I do the same. Love watching "Fashion Police" the day after awards shows :mwaha: They are BRUTAL!

Call me old-fashioned but I still like The Oscars. I like to see my fav directors get their gold.:clap:
