I don't mean to frighten anyone, but someone told me that now they're looking into some dry dog foods that may be contaminated. Noone has talked about any spesific brands, but I'm concerned. Has anyone heard anything?

Jasper 4-15-07, 07:33 PM http://www.fda.gov/default.htm Vilji 4-16-07, 12:37 PM If anyone's concerned now, or which brands may be harmful in the future, the easiest thing to do is buy the guaranteed pure brands that you can't buy in the grocery stores, but in pet stores. Canidae dog food, Eagle Pack, Black Wood, etc... looking at the price of a large bag might seem more expensive, but if you look at the feeding charts, (going by weight and age) you don't have to feed them as much as the other brands, because the other brands have a lot of unhealthy filler food. Not as much proteins and nutrients. So their charts will tell you to feed up to 3x's as much. 80s Queen 4-16-07, 01:48 PM That's a good plan. Thanks to both of you for your help. Dude111 4-16-07, 10:13 PM Yes sadly that may be the only way to be sure :( Vilji 4-17-07, 02:10 PM Those dog foods I mentioned are not from places like China, and are made by people who actually care about the pets. :) anyone can do research on the net about those and the grocery store brands. |
