Scrolling through the 50 worst things ever to happen to music was a disappointment. CDs, Van Halen firing different guys, Sting, and Florida were included in this list. Granted, a few things such as Whitney, Syn Drums, jazz fusion, and AIDS should definitely be included. But it's still a disappointment to read.

23. Woodstock ’99
The lineup was bad enough — a lame attempt at multi-culti harmony mixing patchouli-soaked pied pipers (Rusted Root) with braindead alpha-males (Insane Clown Posse). When the event got going, the second sequel to the Summer of Love quickly degenerated into an ugly free-for-all of sexual assault, arson, ODs — and $6 pizza slices. No wonder those ATMs were looted.
Amen, I've been saying this for years! - Not to mention booking bands that have nothing to do with 3 days of peace, music and love. Try 3 days of corporate: rape, arson, bastardising an ideal and then blaming the fooled masses. F*ck You, Woodstock '99
PS - Madonna's fake accent has very little to do with the most disappointing list. you want Madonna and disappointing? Try these lyrics on for size:
" I love New York, other places make me feel like a dork."
Swear to God. I can't make that stuff up...
Thanks for posting this, it was an interesting list!
I usually never give much creedence to these lists and this one gives me no reason to change my mind. Seriously, WTF? Clumping Sting in with the likes of Kevin Federline? C'mon, Sting's a friggin' genius! Some of the list, I can agree with, but that is where they lost me.
