This has been a good couple of weeks for me at Staples, and if you have a Staples nearby, see if you have similar luck.

This time of the year, lots of software manufacturers will start heavily pushing new versions of stuff, even if the software isn't going to make a big change, because packaging changes. I have found lots of little games, clipart suites and such at drastic price reductions in the clearance, but that's not all. My latest find is Art Explosion Greeting Card Factory Deluxe, marked from 49.99 down to 14.90--with a 20.00 rebate! I am actually making money on some of this stuff, and even if you are limited to one rebate per household, you can still really cash in if it's one per household per unique item.

Another thing that I did was to buy one for a couple of friends, give them the receipt and let them send in for the rebate, so they end up with a free software and a check in the mail in a few weeks. (Okay, it's a little cheesy to give a gift like that, but my friends and family are all just as cheap as I am so they love it! Besides, it's not the ONLY thing I gave them, so why not take advantage of a better than freebie?)

Ok, where in the world can I order a personal Pocket Sized Brandy Blue tm. for myself to take shopping with me so I can find all the bargains instead of blindly walking around paying top dollar for everything! last time I looked, Pocket Sized Brandy Blue's with speech synthesis were $19.95 at Walmart, but I know they're worth a LOT more than that!! :lol: :D
Seriously, I've been looking for a greeting card maker thing for my Mum for ages - she's got this 'Create-A-Card' program she got in a bundled software pack with her FIRST computer that she STILL uses all this time!! she loves it a bit too much actually and it's not good because by the way she dishes zillions of cards out every year for Christmas, Easter, Bithdays etc etc someone's bound to get the same card twice!!
She said it doesn't bother her because she always edits the text to something personal, but still... I need to find her a whole new program with a massive amount of clip-art and things - she would love that for Christmas :thumb:
